Peter looked back to Elsa with a lost expression. "I...I...don't know. Eventually I-I suppose. But...but..." he trailed off uselessly.

Elsa Wolftongue
Darkshire, Duskwood
"Where else is she gonna go?" was the pickpocket's response.

Peter opened his mouth. However, having no better idea than that and lacking the proper upbringing to take up the absolutely golden verbal opportunity which presented itself, he merely said nothing and lapsed into a rueful embarrassed silence.

Max snorted. "Crazy stuff happens to me far too often without beer and licking amphibians."

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Elwynn Forest
Nimrod and Gregg crashed through the undergrowth, leaving a trail of severely battered foliage in their wake, particularly in the case of the former of the two.
The hounds were swiftly closing the gap, their acute sense of smell giving them an edge over their human counterparts, who were following not far behind.

Athenari used the undergrowth to create a web of roots to slow the hounds down.
"Good job, sister." Lyshalis congratulated and continiued after the two others.
The druid followed after but alower as she was in a robe not made for running. But the taller than a humans leg did help her to get the speed of a running gnome.

Kalina Brayton
Elwynn Forest
There was not much familiar with the situation Kalina found herself in - running for her life from hounds in boots that weren't her own with a strange box in her pocket.
It suddenly struck her. The box was feeling warm - hot, even - against her skin through the cloth of the pants. She kept running after the two elves, but this new insight made it difficult to concentrate on propelling herself. The angry snarls and barks from the dogs behind her kept her going, but the artifact...it felt more important than ever.
She kept going on autopilot, jumping over the occasional little obstacle and throwing quick, absent glances over the shoulder. Her mind was elsewhere, now finally noticing the strange, near subliminal sensation. For a moment, it was nothing more than strange. Then she connected the dots - the pennies dropped like a metallic waterfall - and she remembered what the guard had shouted amongst the confusion.
We're invisible.

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Elwynn Forest
The hounds were slowed momentarily, forced to either go around or risk charging through the web, buying the group time. However, the sound of their barks could still be heard, signalling the fact the chase was far from over.
Nimrod and Gregg skidded down the incline they had come to, the river separating Elwynn Forest and Westfall lying somewhere to their right.

Kalina Brayton
Elwynn Forest
Kalina skipped over a root and continued down the slope while trying to process this new realization and how to take tactical advantage of it - exhaustion was beginning to set in now that the initial adrenaline rush had dissipated, and they had to break the chase soon.
Their options were limited, but at least she was catching up with Nimrod and Gregg thanks to her greater height. Maybe one of them had a plan.

The dashing rogue dashed around in the vegetation, not finding any dificulity in geting speed nor foothold.
The druid however triped on a root and fell face down into some mud. It was soft and inflicted no harm but to that of pride. Hastly Athenari got up to her feet and ran after the others, while she now was behind the others she still tried to make haste. So much infact that she riped the sides of her robe so her bare feet could move more freely.

"Do not think of it as abandoning Irene, boy," Wilhelm advised. "Apprehending Razzmatazz and warding him from her suicidal lust for vengeance will help her more than it seems at the first glance."

Completely stone faced, Max stopped. He turned to face the troll.

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Elwynn Forest
The two stumbled, as if in synchronization, upon suddenly reaching the bottom, and slowly ground to a halt, the sound of their panting being the sole interruption in the silence's abrupt entrance.
For the most part the clearing they found themselves in was as bare as it was still, with the only signs of life being a gnarled oak tree and an abundance of wild grass. They were surrounded on all sides by similar inclines to the one they had raced down only moments earlier, with the one obvious way out being what appeared to be an old, windy path carved through the surrounding hills, bordered on either side by crumbling cobblestone walls.

Shortly after the gnome and dwarf stoped at the clearing so did the rogue after them. Several seconds later a panting druid came and rested by the old oak.

The young mage skid to a quick stop thanks to the rough soles on the "borrowed" boots. She doubled over and panted heavily with one hand squeezing the side of her abdomen.

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Elwynn Forest
"We sure showed those guards, didn't we guys?" Nimrod asked the group rhetorically, flexing his muscles as if returning victorious from battle.
Gregg blinked and rubbed his eyes, staring in shock at the tall, dark figure that had popped into existence several paces behind the dwarf. A caw came from nearby, a well fed, shining example of a crow having settled upon one of the oak's few remaining branches.
Nimrod turned slowly, following Gregg's gaze, and jumped slightly at the proximity of the figure. The dwarf swung his mace immediately, startled, only to be met with a loud "whoosh" as it passed right through.
"Took your time," the stranger commented, lighting up his incorporeal pipe, in a voice that revealed him to be the same man that had stood by the hearth in the officer's room of the garrison. Nimrod's only reaction was to flail frantically at the figure, the realization his weapon was having no effect not yet dawning upon him.

"What brings you here?" Lyshalis asked the stranger. Just by observing Nimrods inefective attacks was enought to make the rogue not go for her wepons as is would be useless.
Athenari took a tight grip of her staff and looked up to the man, still panting.
