"Hm?" Max turned to face the troll, having been momentarily absorbed by the dusk choked road.

"Have you not yet realized that if you do not make Irene stop, revenge will consume her?" Meyer quirked an eyebrow.

Peter quivered, reminded of his own failures insofar to stop Irene. "Did...Did not think she would go so far. So soon. Early, yet. And...yes..." he trailed off helplessly.

Max eyed the troll with something approaching confusion. "...Okay."

"No, no I got that. You followed ghosts so now you want to like...become one? But...don't because I have to save your corpse or whatever."

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Westbrook Garrison, Elwynn Forest
The moment Kalina's gaze fell upon the old man another whisper came - a hesitant, yet assured whisper.
"You must destroy him... Or he will destroy you all..."
Nimrod and Gregg stood on either side of the doorway as a large detachment of guards thundered past, heading for the main entrance of the keep.
Elsa Wolftongue
Darkshire, Duskwood
"Wasn't she from Sierra?" Elsa asked Peter calmly, the somewhat disturbing imagery provided by Wilhelm not fazing her in the slightest; in fact, the prospect of not getting to beat the sense into Irene personally was more disappointing than anything else - her and the
thing
she wandered about with.

Kalina Brayton
Westbrook Garrison
The flood of armed men rushing past outside passed nearly without Kalina's notice. She was all too preoccupied with looking anxiously at the old man and trying to decide what to do.
She weighed the pros and cons of removing the witness as carefully as she could, but in the back of her head she already knew the only way out.
Luckily she was in a guard's uniform, and anyone seeing her would hopefully not consider it conspicuous.

The old man's stared back dazedly, utterly quiet.
Nimrod crept into the hallway, trying to be as quiet and inconspicuous as possible, which was to say, not very. Gregg merely raise and eyebrow and, seeing no sign of a second patrol, slowly started to follow the dwarf.

Lyshalis, like any night elven rogue worthy of her wine had trained her nocturnal ability to fade into the shadows and become invisible, to be used while she moves.
The rogue sneaked in the shadows and cursed the presence of torches that removed the stealth when she followed the dwarf. The sword she had borrowed from the man she kicked in the face lay discarded near the chest, as the elf had no further use for it.
The druid however stalked the gnome and dwarf the moment the gnomish man left the room.

Kalina Brayton
Westbrook Garrison
Kalina insecurely stepped up to the door after the others had exited. She stopped in the frame and turned around to face the armory again, and she swallowed hard. A moment of hesitation passed...and then a moment of action.
When she closed the door behind her, leaving the storeroom shut, it was already close to fully engulfed in flames.

Wilhelm pulled the reins abruptly, whirling upon Elsa.
"Do you intend to tell me you two have known where Irene's village is all along? And decided to keep silent even after I vocally announced my intention to rip that knowledge out of her skull if need be?" he said very, very quietly.

Peter jerked back at the demand, his horse snorting in protest as he consequently tugged on the reins. "I....I...T-that....that is....I..."

"A yes or no will suffice, Peter Brighthammer," Wilhelm intoned in the same soft, cold tone. "Do you know where is the village that used to be Irene's home and now is the location of the apostate Razzmatazz? Yes or no?"

"Kalina?" Gregg called back, taking care to keep the volume of his voice well beneath a certain threshold.
Nimrod on the other hand was busily peering around the corner; the next passageway was suspiciously empty.
Elsa Wolftongue
Darkshire, Duskwood
Elsa grew silent again, recalling vaguely that Wilhelm had mentioned the village prior, only she had not quite been thinking straight at the time. The pickpocket's eyes wandered uncertainly in Peter's direction... There she had thought he would have told the warlock were the answer so simple. "Roundabouts," she said eventually, doing her utmost to sound casual.
