"Good," Max told the troll with nod before returning to Cregga. "So what is that?"
The witch smiled and retrieved the item. She passed it over to Max, who cast her another questioning glance before unrolling it. His eyes brightened and mouth fell agape as he took out his sword. "You...you found it?"
"They just stuck it in the weapon locker," Cregga explained in joking self-depreciation. "Wasn't exactly SI7 work."
Her comments went unheeded. Max had chosen the moment to make a few practice swings in the air, a smile turning his lip as the steel sang. "Perfect! Thanks Cregga!" he breathed, holding the blade in his palm. "Now that I have this back, I can stop those idiots from going after Master Razzamataz!"
Cregga lost her smile at once, her melancholic eyes drifting down to her feet.

"What?" He replied then looked up as he heard the sound of clucking and rockets sounding the return of his metal chicken as it soared threw the open window and landed on the ground. "Got my message?" He asked walking over and picked up the chicken and took a rolled up letter off it's leg. "Thank you." He said before stuffing the chicken back into his bag. "Sorry about that." He said to the gnome turning back to Lucky.

"My dad says I got to many thoughts and not enough eyes don't really understand it but he's kinda loopy anyway I thinks it's one to many brooms to the head." He said then shook his head. "Sorry I did it again." He said to Lucky.

"Alright!" Max lurched to his feet, planting a hand on the rock in a pose of conviction and strength (and certainly not because he was still woozy from the blood loss). "Let's get moving. We'll head for the Twilight Grove. They say there's a dragon hanging around there so the Watch won't dare going that way."

"We just need to head straight east," Max replied, making his way into the forest. "And watch out for worgen. They've been sniffing around these parts."

Nimrod Lightforge, Gregg
Westbrook Garrison, Elwynn Forest
Nimrod paused at the top of the stairs, hearing voices, and looked around uncertainly, the bad guys had to be close.
Gregg peered over at the door opposite the stairwell, gleaming in the torchlight. It had to be the armoury, it certainly looked the part.
Elsa Wolftongue
Darkshire, Duskwood
"You're going with
him?"
Elsa repeated, staring at Peter in disbelief, "you..." She turned to the warlock and snorted, looking him up and down a second time, "it'll take much more than the likes of
you
alone to knock some sense into that girl, let alone get that b@#$# to answer anything," she informed him; the prospect of Irene getting injured - with the backing of an alleged crown patent, no less - helping the pickpocket make up her mind, in spite of it going against her better judgement.

Kalina glanced from Gregg to the door. She guessed she knew what he was thinking.
"That's a sturdy door," she said discontentedly.

A patrol marched past, causing Gregg to quickly pull at Nimrod's arm, preventing the dwarf from stepping out into the wide corridor.

Kalina rolled her eyes and mouthed some words after the passing patrol - without doubt mocking their lack of alertness.

Peter coughed. "Yes. Ah, Elsa. I..." The priest fidgeted nervously then took a long, deep breath and sighed. "Elsa. Irene...Don't know if anything can be done. For. About...yes. She...Will find her, again. Promised that. Should, really. Have to. But...she refused to help. First time, that is. Ran away. Best opportunity to do something, right here." This was accompanied by a gesture to Wilhelm. "And...didn't care. Didn't want to, perhaps...I..." He shrugged helplessly. "Haven't seen much of the world so far, must admit. What I have...not very pretty, very bloody, often trying to...kill me. Must - also - admit." A pained expression crossing his face at the memory of the last three days.
"But," he continued looking back to her. "But...do think, are things...worth protecting. Thus, this is something, can't be ignored. Shouldn't. Must be dealt with. Important to stop such sorceries. So...will-have, to see this through to end. Need to help. If Irene wants to keep running...abandoning people. Opportunities. Wallowing, in self-pity...she can. Realize, I can't stop her. Though, must say. Wish I could.
"Elsa," he said, taking her hand again. "Must say...thank you. For everything. Am glad you're safe. And please..." He tightened his grip on her hand and smiled sadly. "Stay so." Then, he gingerly and reluctantly, let go of her.

Maximilian Totentaz, Cregga

Duskwood
The depths of Duskwood's darkness eventually spat the trio out and onto a small path winding up sheer, green encrusted cliffs. Several torches lit the way up, their purpose not apparently fathomable as few dared delve this deep into Duskwood. By the light of these torches, Max plunked onto a rotting log. He had not said a word throughout their forced march through the forest, even ignoring Cregga's efforts to start a conversation until she had surrendered. He had a deep, thoughtful and grim look to himself; with brow knitted, elbows digging into his legs and hands clasped before his face, he stared into the woods with blank, far seeing eyes.
"I'll go grab some firewood," Cregga offered, arching her back with a yawn. " 'm hungry. Hey troll!" she called to the shadow priest. "You coming?"

"What are you going on like that for? I'm coming with you," Elsa stated, having made her decision, "and if your warlock friend here tries anything shady, I'll be the first to stick a knife between his ribs."
