Character:
Maximilian Totentanz, Cregga, Morkan
Location:
Duskwood
The undead brought his stave about to try and batter the harpy out of the sky.
The roof of the house was not far away from that of the outhouse. Had he the inclination, the illusionist could likely achieve it.
When a shining sword gripped tightly in a skeletal hand lurched through the hole behind him and grabbed a handhole on the roof, Max realized how very attractive the house's roof looked. He took a few step backs, and flung himself out across the divide, hitting the roof heavily and driving the air from his lungs. He grabbed at the rotted and cantankerous shingles as they cracked, quickly finding a handhold and pulling himself up.
It was only then he heard the faint howling in the distance.

Peter wiped his shoulder like he was trying to get rid of the fabric's colour. "Yes, ah. Maybe, er. That is, somewhat. Don't want it following," he told Elsa quickly, not entirely sure of his own thoughts let alone where they were leading him.

Elsa nodded and proceeded to pour gunpowder into her rifle, before loading a shot. This done, the pickpocket took aim, her finger slowly started to push down on the trigger.

The undead lurched at the sudden tug. Quickly finding his footing, the blue boned mage tugged back sharply.
Max and the Commander, both having achieved their footings on the respective buildings, looked away to the echoing howls. From the trees furred shapes burst. Some on two legs, others on four, their pelts flashed silver and black in the moonlight as the host of worgen burst upon the undead who had ventured into their territory.
"In Llane's name! The worgspawn!" the Commander cursed as the hybrids tore into his shambling guard.
Max took that opportunity to quickly begin scaling the roof for the opposite side.

Elsa blinked, she had seen worse, and casually turned to Peter, "ready?"

Morkan grimaced (such as it were, the expression he made was of the closest semblance to said expression) at the fire. His clothes caught light easily, but unlike his companion, he was fully aware of his present state. That as such, he whipped the staff down towards the ground, along with the harpy yet clinging to it.
The Commander looked between the fleeing human and the scattered troops which faced the feral furred onslaught. Sadly, he was a leader, so threw himself off the roof and into the melee with a rattling war cry.
Max took that opportunity to slide down the other side of the roof, in just the most horrid mood. Really, it was quite awful.

Peter covered his head with his arms as best he could. A low keyed groan escaping his lips as he examined the scarlet stains on his robes. They had once been white, he recalled with fondness. "I suppose," he murmured with regret.
"Well. Bullocks," the dwarf said, having taken cover beneath a griffon's wings. The birds themselves were less than pleased, several already hopping from their nests to go roll around in the dirt for a little while. Not that they needed a particular reason to roll around in the dirt. This eventuality merely provoked the reaction in this particular instance.

"Good," said Elsa simply, slinging her rifle and tossing several coins the flightmaster's way.

The skeleton's head, weakened from the battle to say nothing of the flames, snapped off with a crack. The blue dome landed crown up, facing away from the harpy even as the rest of the bones collapsed, losing animation without a head.
The worg, too, had finished its conflict. Skulking out of of the wreckage of several skeletons, it licked its chops casually.
Max sped away from the battle, the sounds of combat quickly fading into the background as he rushed back through the woods the way he came.

Peter shuddered and followed the girl, running his hands off his robes in a futile attempt to rid himself of the distasteful remnants of the annoying rodent.

The worg pawed over to the harpy. As it moved, it seemed to straighten, back arching up as it wavered upon hind legs solely. Its forepaws went to the head and grasped the muzzle, pulling it back like one would a mask. The animal's eyes went glassy as Cregga's face seemed to part the fur of the neck, the young witch stepping out of the pelt of the beast as easily as she would a fog. She swept the beasts pelt back over her shoulders, the animals long dead head slumping over her pale shoulder, the young woman entirely unconcerned for her nudity otherwise as she went up to Serai.
In a casual tone she asked if the flower was damaged.

Peter stopped what he was doing, realizing it was a fruitless task trying to clear himself of the blood. Setting his arms at his sides, he looked to Elsa. "Find Edward Reichtan. So, perhaps, inn would be best place to start. Heard where such things begin. Quests, news, gatherings, might overhear something. Or, ask, and receive. And! Ah, also, change of clothes. Likely wise. Shouldn't walk around covered in blood. Wrong message given. In town like this? Worse."

"Actually in some places it's counted a good sign, that you're still very much alive or you've been around someone who
was
," Elsa remarked. That said, truth be told she was not particularly fond of the stains either.

Peter glanced about the sullen town anxiosuly. With its dark gables and cold grey wood, windows dark or with but a single candle to battle off the creeping darkness. "Doubtful is one of them," he said. "Perhaps, somewhere I can wash robes at the inn," he added.
