"I can't hear anything..but we'll be careful." Kiran promised Hazel, waving at Vrell as he and Koran headed for a cave entrance.
"We going in smart or stupid?" Koran asked, and Kiran gave him a lopsided grin as he held up his arms, scales starting to appear.
"I figure smart for once." He said, and Koran chuckled as the blue scales started to appear on his arms. The pair headed into the cave, looking for any clues that someone had been living there.

This being a sparring match and not a real fight, Turin was behaving far more showy and irrationally than he otherwise would have. Thus, indeed he was already moving for another attack and as such found his feet swept from under him. He grouped and dove into a roll, making a couple of full turns and winding up several steps away from Selin. With a grunt, Turin began to rose, the sword held at the ready.

Again Turin parried, and again he spun his sword to send the axe away - only this time the spinning motion was followed immediately by a jab into Selin's closest leg.

"Musty here. You smell anything out of the ordinary?" Koran asked Kiran who shook his head.
"Nah, it smells dead in there....well, maybe not 'dead' but abandoned; you know the smell." He said and Koran nodded as they headed in deeper, the half-dwarf making a torch and holding it up as they went.

"Sounds great. Really. Just...I'll be along soon as I can. Okay, thanks, bye." Leo groaned the moment he hung up the phone, massaging his damaged area as he gathered up his coat and a pair of black rubber gloves.
"Where are you off to?" Sindry demanded as Leo limped over to the door.
The scientist froze, glancing back at her. "Oh, you know, Out..."
"Out where?" Edmund asked, leaning out from around the corner.
"To, well...see Mr. Sunhawk. He wants to show me the prototype machine. I think it could be a great learning experience for me. See how other people work, and something so revolutionary. I mean, imagine..." he pasued, catching himself mid rant. "So...yeah. Nothing too serious."
Sindry simply stared. Then, with a sigh, she shut her book, and hopped off her couch to wander towards the door as well.
"Wait, you're coming?"
"Apparently," she offered, slipping into her shoes. "You're probably gonna be beaten up by security, and that should be fun to see."
"Um, okay then..." Leo said pensively. His eagerness now tampered by trepidation of possible beatings, he donned his rubber gloves and stepping out into the hall, sister following with bored resignation. The door hadn't even a chance to close before Edmund pulled it open as well, smoothing out his black coat and taking up the rear of their little party.
Character:
Johann Augustus
Location:
Western Lordaeron
The farmer slowly trundled down the field, bag of corn thrown over his shoulder and small cigarette sticking gamely from the side of his mouth. He adjusted his overalls and cloth cap as he came upon his wheelbarrow at the side of the barn, then paused. Lying in the dirt was a single copper coin, glinting as if having been rubbed clean by the furtive hands of one whose fortune consisted solely of that coin.
"Eheh! Looker wh-," he abruptly paused, realizing that where that coin lay, had been where he had left a bag of freshly plucked corn, and one of wheat.
The farmer slowly turned his gaze up, spotting a pair of retreating purple forms, one bulky and hunched over, the other with black hair, and each carrying an all too familiar burlap sack.
"
MER KERN!
"
"Run faster curse you!" Johann gasped, struggling to keep his balance as the weight of the corn threw him about.
"Stealing...is not...in my...contract..." the voidwalker voiced heavily, though he showed no sign of the exertion debilitating his partner.
"He should feel...hon-oured! I took his food! Besides...I paid him." A gun shot across the fields, prompting Johann to jump and pick up his pace, he and the voidwalker parting the golden fields of wheat as they fled towards the distant lake.
Character:
Dr.Prometheus Sr.
Location:
Island of Doom
The goggled man slowly hung up the phone. He sighed, running a hand through a frock of wildly jutting white hair, which sprang back elastically to its prior form once he finished. “What am I going to do with those two?” he asked, slumping against the table. “You know, it’s not like I’m a bad parent. I recognize that kids need to go out, stretch their wings, learn about themselves and all that. But I’m allowed to worry, aren’t I? I can’t just stop because they’re all grown up.”
“I don’t know anything! Please! Oh Light! Please let me go! Let me go-ho-ho!” the man on the table sobbed, his limbs locked in place by several metal shackles as he stared down a circular saw spinning inches above his face, but one of many horrifying implements dangling menacingly above him.
“You know, there’s an awwwful lot about you here,” Dr. Prometheus observed, tapping a pen beside the man’s head. “You never listen. Hahhh…I miss my wife…”
A sudden skittering of claws on metal had both doctor and victim pause, turning away and towards the hall.

The pair reached the back of the cave and stared in a little bit of shock and horror; the entire area was full of skeletons. The most obvious were of yeti's, but there were other races mixed in. "Okay this isn't that creepy." Kiran said, looking around and picking through the bones.
"Aye." Koran agreed and kicked a pile of bones...and saw something under it. "What's this?" He asked, picking up something that looked like a badge with a strange symbol etched into it. "Seen this before?" He tossed it to Kiran who looked at it and shook his head.
"Maybe the Lady knows." Kiran suggested, the pair heading back through the caves.

Turin immediately sheathed the Lasher and rushed to help Selin.
"You alright?" he asked anxiously, taking off his gauntlets and hurtling them aside. His hands began to glow with soft golden light.

"You sure?"
Despite Selin's words, Turin pressed his hands unceremoniously against her leg, calling upon the Light to help mend the damage done.

"Huge pile of bones in the back of the caves; all old." Kiran answered and held up the badge. "Found this though, thought you might know what it's from." He said, handing it to Hazel.
"Strangely though, that was the only thing we found; no trace of the clothes or weapons that the other bodies should have had." Koran told them as he walked over to his gryphon.

Leo and company threaded their way through the city, following the dim directions as best they could. In the end, it was only because Edmund already seemed to have a good idea of where the building was that they managed to even find it.
Which...you know, wasn't suspicious at all.
Pushing his way through the front doors, Leo took the room in with a bright smile, Sindry not even giving it a second glance.

"Silvermoon City is such a dangerous place," Walter mused. As if that was the clue, the waitress appeared out of the kitchen again, carrying a tray with their order.
"My, now that's a fast service," Joyce smiled at her. He wanted her to be gone from hearing range, obviously, but he masked it very well - only one trained to notice such things would have seen through his smirk.

Turin was relieved enough - the way anxiety fled from his face was a sight to behold - to joke again, "I think I'm hearing you wanting that bruise to have remained so that you could have an excuse for stopping the match."
