Silithus
"I've got ya lass." Koran said, his gryphon hovering closer to the ground as he lowered one of the ropes, a loop tied at the bottom for her to put a foot into it.
Kiran landed his gryphon by the one who hadn't said anything, a set of throwing knives in his hand as he watched the silithids. "Air Half-Elf now boarding."

"Welp, might as well check the base then," Turin shrugged, himself in a need of some restocking.
Character
: Daniel Percival Fitzpatrick, Walter Joyce, Karo
Location
: Hinterlands, Jintha'Alor Catacombs
"Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Unacceptable! This is absolutely un-ac-cep-table, Joyce!"
Walter Joyce, a small, stunted man in a stained, ill-fitting white lab-coat over weathered dark blue scrubs and a pair of square horn-rimmed glasses so large it was a miracle they did not fall off his large crooked nose, winced and cringed away, putting all his willpower into meekly accepting another one of his employer's outbursts. The one to scream was a short, plump man, red of face, with small beady blue eyes and thin blonde hair that now lay on his head in quite a spectacular mess as he stomped angrily, not unlike a spoiled child, fuming and salivating.
Finally, Fitzpatrick quieted down, taking deep, wet breaths and running his thick fingers - each carrying a kitschy gold ring - through his hair to at least keep it from obscuring his vision.
"Karo! Tea," he spat. Immediately and without a sound a huge - over seven feet in height - man in an immaculate suit appeared at his elbow, carrying a tray with a teapot and a cup. Karo had skin the color of dark chocolate and seemed to completely lack any kind of body hair, save for barely visible lashes rimming his slitted, dark eyes. The quiet giant handed his master the cup with a respectful bow of his head, his heavy cranium shining in the unnatural light of the laboratory.
Fitzpatrick down the cup in one mighty gulp, all three of his chins wobbling as he consumed the liquid - somehow not spilling anything. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then hurtled the empty cup into a tall, hulking monstrosity - a bizarre amalgamation of flesh and metal, its origin nigh impossible to discern.
The construct tried awkwardly to catch the cup. Not only did it fail even to touch it with its hands, it ended up toppling over and falling on the floor with a loud crash.
"This? This lumbering oaf is your masterpiece? This is the foundation of the army I was promised? That cup is worth more than this... this..."
As Fitzpatrick paused in loss for words, Joyce tried to say something.
"If I may speak freely-"
"You may not! I brought you here! I gave you the ample opportunity of working on the project of your lifetime! I have been pouring money into this like no tomorrow! I brought you most competent assistants - and this is what I get?" Fitzpatrick gurgled, his face turning closer and closer to a beetroot in its color.
"We are making ample progress, but the cerebral functions-"
"A kid built a working robot, Joyce! A greenhorn knife-eared scum! Have you not been keeping an eye on the world affairs in your sphere, Joyce?"
"Perhaps if we were to expropriate the specimen-"
"Do it. I don't care what it takes. You are sufficiently staffed for heisting the Royal Bank of Stormwind, for Tyr's sake! Do whatever it takes, but bring. Me. My. Army!"
Joyce watched Fitzpatrick and his butler depart, nervously kneading the hem of his lab-coat in his hands.

Zach frowned as he considered some of the statues. "I wonder if these are actual Titans," he said thoughtfully.

"She isn't? Shame, I would have liked a closer look. Oh well. But hey, I guess it doesn't matter. You'll eventually share this technology anyway. I'm jsut so excited at the possibilities here. I would love to talk to you about how you built it. Like I said, I'm an inventor, and am really curious about how it works. Do you have time now?"

"Hey, you guys helped us. Fair reward and all that." Kiran said as the gryphon launched itself skyward, followed by Koran's. The silithids screeched at the departing animals, still swarming around on the ground.
"So, we're heading back to the hold now? That a good enough spot for you two?" Kiran asked his passenger as the gryphons winged in the direction of the druid city.

Leo's face fell. "Oh...that's a shame. I was hoping to get a look at it before everyone started trying to destroy or steal it..."

"Gotta admit, after the first couple hundred rides this tune gets a little stale. And that's coming from me, the known patron of the finer arts such as music," Turin snorted, walking inside the elevator.

Walter held his left arm folded at the elbow and behind him as he walked, huffing fiercely to blow a lock of unkempt, curly black hair out of his face. His left fist was opening and closing repeatedly, a sure sign of just how shaken he was. Self-styled doctor Joyce did not consider himself cut out for interacting with people such as Fitzpatrick. Unfortunately, in the obese
nouveau riche
lay his only hopes of coming to the completion of his dream.
Walter did not concern himself with such strange questions as just to what ends would Fitzpatrick use the army he would provide. All he craved for at this moment was seeing it complete.
He sighed, sitting down at his desk and drumming his fingers against the immaculate surface - a sharp contrast to his coat.
"No doubt they're guarding you, little Sue," the scientist murmured with a sad smile. "I'll pray to Tyr above that we can expropriate you peacefully and without unnecessary bloodshed."
He took out a plain piece of paper and a nib pen. After finding out that it was empty he let out an exasperated sigh, pulling an inkwell close and refilling it before writing down a short message. After letting the ink dry he folded the paper carefully and put it into an equally plain envelope, signing it thusly,
Esteemed Mr. J.
Before long, the letter was sent, up through the complex series of tubes that connected the underground base subtly to the mail system of the dwarven agglomeration above.

"Well ain't that a coincidence." Kiran said. "I'm Kiran Hartford by the way. The mass of hair over there is Koran Lighthammer." Koran nodded at the pair. "Again, thanks for the help down there; was not expecting that many bugs."

"Eh? Oh, no! I mean, that is, it doesn't use any magic, so naturally some mages would want to get rid of it since it threaten-you know what, I'll just stop talking now. I'm sorry if I sounded like I was threatening you. I was just excited and stop thinking. But I would like to talk to you some more, maybe after I've calmed down a bit. It's a lot to process. You seem intelligent and I'd really like your opinion on some ideas of mine!" Leo continued, turning to Marcin.
"Like that'll stop them from blowing up."
"Sindry!" Leo groaned at the red headed woman, who ignored him. "Anyway, here's my card. I'd like to hear from you," Leo continued. With a snap, the one eyed man produced a slip of paper with a number on it, handing it over to Leo. "I'll write on the back where I'm staying. And...here, it's that new hotel off Mage's plaza," he said, handing over the card, a picture of a gear crossed with wrenches on the front.

Mr. January looked up as his "In" box chimed softly. A plain letter, marked
Esteemed Mr. J
, formed out of golden light. He picked it up and opened it, reading steadily. He sat back for a few moments, pondering the contents.
After a few moments more, he leaned forward and took a piece of paper and a quill and began writing quickly, but neatly. He took the piece of paper and dribbled sand over it. He then folded it and placed it in an envelope. On the outside, he wrote:
The Good Dr. Walter
and placed it in his "Out" box. The letter turned into molten gold light, then vanished, reappearing near the sender of the last letter.

"Pleased ta meet ya both." Koran said, checking the inside of his vest, and relived to find the scrolls still there, as he had been worried that during the run he may have lost them.
"If I hadn't seen the skills and magic the pair of you had pulled off, I'd make the standard 'what's a couple of girls like you' joke." Kiran said with a grin, looking ahead as the main Tower of the Hold grew larger. "But I'll save us all the time of me looking like an idiot by not saying it."
"Like that's ever stopped you." Koran said with a laugh.

"I remember falling down the stairs once in the old building, before the elevators. Miracle how I did not break everything," Turin mused, leaning against a wall.
Character
: Walter Joyce
Location
: Hinterlands, Jintha'Alor Catacombs
"Swift and all business-like. World needs more people like you," Walter mused with a rather dark smile, the irony of the statement not lost on him, as the letter fell into his hands - almost literally.
Although he could send one of his assistants to take the long and arduous journey - although obviously not quite as long and arduous as it used to be - to the biggest city in the Eastern Lordaeron, Joyce did not even consider it. Everything here in the base was backed up over and over, dozens of times, so he could leave safely without fearing someone to undo his work - while if he sent a proxy to deal with January, who knows just how badly could they screw up? Beside, it was common courtesy. Walter would not be the littlest bit surprised if his contact took offense at someone other than him appearing.
He stood up and headed into the locker rooms - though looking inconspicuous and unassuming by nature, he did not want to also appear slattern or sloven.
