Yes, but Rank.
Our leaders punch Twilight Dragons in the face.
Alliance leaders have to clone themselves.
This whole post is what.

What do we get? a golem's triple-A batteries. What does the alliance gets? THE POWER OF THE FRIKKING THUNDER KING!
We get a shiny lightning rod.
You get BLOOD OF A FRIKKING TITAN CONSTRUCT.
Again, Jaina is wielding the power of a demigod. We get the batteries of a golem.
alliance's elite, 7th Legion?
You get to pwn them in a freaking starting quest
While you get to pwn ours for a full expansion. Ohh yeah, 1 zone vs 1 expansion. Seems fair.
Hell, even in gameplay you have been blessed. Remember Krasarang? I sure do. Quests get random every day, and sometimes, the alliance is attacking domination point, while other time the horde attacks lion's landing. When the alliance attacks us? they take over our docks, they have airships bombarding the CORE OF OUR BASE from the sky, and they set the outer perimeter on fire. When we get to "invade" lion's landing? Hmm............ we dont' get within a 100 yards of the damn thing. Because the most we get to do is fight in the barricades well outside your base. Great, you pwn our base, but we don't even get to be inside yours.
We never get close, all we do is land and get roflpwnd before we reach the tower
I suggest you look closer, don't make me link you screenshots, when the daily quests involve the alliance attacking our base, the docks were our ships are, are taken by alliance troops, and there's gyrocopters everywhere bombarding everything, and the outer perimeter is on fire. When the daily quests involve the horde attacking your base, we don't even get within a 100 yards of it.
We get to be kicked out of Dalaran like vermin, with a large chunk of our people locked inside as prisoners, and the alliance gains a frikking new capital.
We get a damn city nuked.
Stop focusing on what you lost and focus on what you won, we lost a city, and you gain one.
Last time we lost a city we didn't gained anything from it.
Less than 15 min after starting the expansion we lose our airship while you keep yours and it becomes "The Proud Flagship of the Alliance" "The ship that took down Deathwing" "The warmachine that rains death and destruction upon the horde in every single engagement it happens"
One of our gunships (the big ones are called gunships) gets turned into a giant plot device in the pandarens starting experience.
Forgive me if I don't cry you a river for the ONE alliance gunship in the entire frikking game to ever have been destroyed. meanwhile we lost one in the worgen starting zone, another one in deepholm, another one in twilight highlands, another one in dragon soul, another one in Endtime, and another one in the jade forest.
again, boo-frikking-hoo.
It gets better. Alliance rares in Lion's landing? priest one is in the middle of SIX MOBS. Warrior one is in the middle of SEVEN MOBS. Rogue one is right next to 2, and blinks away constantly so she ends up pulling 4 extras all the time. Horde rares in domination point? Rogue is in a tower in the middle of nowhere, so you allies can kill it without pesky mobs interrupting, Warrior one is right at the entrance with no backup save for 2 mobs that don't pull with him when you attack him from range, priest one is at the back of the base near a very convenient stump you can use to fight her with no extra adds.
The tower is a damn ganktrap, you have to either cap and risk flagging yourself
Why? in a PVE realm you have absolutely no reason to flag yourself to kill them, And if you are in a pvp realm, well........... you willingly chose to play in one. You made your bed? sleep on it.
or let a hordie sneak up and make guards ambush you, flagging you, forcing you to fight a rare, 4 elites and god knows how many hordies at once.
Server population is irrelevant of lore. Next you'll tell me that because your side sucks at pvp and its outnumbered, we shoul count those as lore horde wins.
The priest is right beside the elite guards,
forgetting which side your on?
GANKED
If you're dumb enough to land where you're not supposed to, its your fault, pull her from the stump and no adds come with her. Meanwhile alliance priest is right in hte middle of 5 extra mobs, and is bugged to the point where she refuses to move out of her tent so she can't even be kited away.
EDIT: And if you really want to argue about rares, the freaking Pyrestone Demolishor and it's sitting in the middle of the only way to get off the sunreaver base says hi.
5 different ways to get inside through the water say hi.
We get to watch one of our beloved leaders, the same one who barely survived his encounter with death, PLEAD AND BEG to the alliance for help because we obviously are too weak to even put a dent on orgrimmar on our own. Great, we have to grovel and bow to our enemies in order to survive, while they get to smugly laugh and look at us with condencendance.
We have to risk our necks to arm a bunch of trolls who insult us at every turn.
Insult you at every turn. That's a good one. Vol'jin's comments are only if you display hostility to him, and even then, he still has to beg the alliance for help. When was the last time you had to swallow the bitter drink of the alliance asking the horde for help? yeah that's right.
Our lore figures? Thrall goes MIA, Vol'jin gets a knife to the neck, and
then
has to grovel and beg for the alliance to help us or face anihilation, Nazgrim gets killed, Garrosh is completely insane and treats us just as bad as our enemies, Baine barely gets a cameo, Sylvannas is MIA, Gallywix to this day hasn't even been SEEN so he may as well not exist. Pretty much the only Major Horde Figure to receive any form of love is Lor'themar and I'd say ABOUT DAMN TIME, given that he's been nothing but a joke since he was introduced. (Remember his pissed off quote? "DON'T TOUCH THE HAIR". Yeah, even when angry he's supposed to be comic relief)
Velen still isn't existant, Malfurion's off taking a damn nap again, Muradin and Falsta get one note about how $%^&*!y they are, Anduin has every bone in his body broken by a roid-raging orc.
Again, instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus in what you have. Plenty of alliance figures got a lot of ego-stroking, including varian, moira, jaina, anduin, and so on.

another one in deepholm
Might wanna check again; the Alliance lost one as well.
Again, instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus in what you have.

Simple, They're the same as city guards, they get aggroed and flag you if you get near them.
Near being everywhere you can pull the rogue guy to.
Again, Jaina is wielding the power of a demigod. We get the batteries of a golem.
We get a lightning rod, you get the blood of a titan construct, which basically means god-robot.
While you get to pwn ours for a full expansion. Ohh yeah, 1 zone vs 1 expansion. Seems fair.
Endgame vs. level 1-20

Check closer, you guys build an entire godamn base right outside and have massive demolishors firing into our base.

It be good to see dat some Alliance have a sense of loyalty.
Basically, i drag myself from a war effort to help rebels who very nearly tried to kill me and they say this.
Very polite
5 different ways to get inside through the water say hi.
I don't think people would realize a GIANT FREAKING GLOWING ROBOT was missing.
Anyone ready to gank would realize that the demolishor is missing and turn right.
In comparison, the arcane destroyer is as far from the base as possible.

I know it was the same. I haven't really complained that much about all the heavy loses we've taken this expansion, but it irks me that Lordplatypus says "we haven't won anything" when this entire expansion has basically been the alliance owning the horde at EVERYTHING.
Then again he's said more sillier things before.

I haven't seen a horde city kabombed or any serious military defeats, just stuff like trapping a bunch of idiots who were probably too stupid to be of any worth (Seriously? The last 500 of you were turned into rocket chickens, what's your plan? Run it out of power?) and getting our prince smashed into a mogu artifact.

LvL 1-10 worgens get to kill forskens own hero class the dark rangers...

Also anything non-human in the blue party is eaither made incompitent or doesn't do anthing. When has gnomes ever been takes seriosly? Heek even that 14 year old blonde human kid has more screen time than Tyrande.
Blizzard introduces 2 scenarios in 5.1 1 alliance and 1 horde. What's the alliance scenario about? Why of course you guys delivering a shameful defeat upon us by playing us like stupid fiddlesticks and luring us into the most obvious trap ever, and butcher our forces en masse in the most humilliating ways possible, including beign turned into exploding chickens. What do we get? hmm......... one of our most beloved leaders gets a knife in the neck, and we have to fight our own people
To be fair ALP and trials of the high king was in so many ways bad and evryone got stupid to make the high mut king chin look like he has some brain power. I fail to see the trials in it or how it is epic...

Even though I hate varian (A bit less so this expansion due to toning down his rage-a-holic manchild mode from WOTLK), I have to admit I was disappointed in how the hyped "Trials of the High King" played out. From the way they worded it in blizzcon, they made it sound like it would be an "epic quest chain full of awesome moments". For a while I thought "so..... basically Elemental Bonds: Alliance version"
So it sounded like an epic, long, climatic quest chain, but it ended up being 2 scenarios. 2 very crappy scenarios mind you. Well ok, blood in the snow is not crappy at all, but its just so....... plain. "Ohhhh trolls summoned..... SNOW!!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!" Compare that to the other scenarios were we fight the heart of an old god, the machinations of Dark Shamans and Dire Orcs, who are doing genetic experiments beneath orgrimmar, and a kickass naval battle, and Blood in the snow becomes easily the least impressive scenario of 5.3
And then when some players asked "When are the Trials of the High King coming?" The only answer given was "What are you talking about? you already had the Trials of the High King. Its those 2 scenarios you completed in 20 min"

One you kill with a pack of dogs yes? Note that it is dogs...
Another you kill after meeting the priestess of elune for the first time. You get a anti-frost trap thingy that is used against the frost trap placed om ye. Then it's 1v1 and who wins?
Then there is a party of dark rangers looking fer th'a scythe of Elune. Somehow they can't see the chest inside...
And this is the elite of the forsaken. Has about the same power level as a death knight. The major diffrance is that Dark Ranger uses a bow, not a 2h runesword.

And the source was the rpg, so non-canon...
Dark Rangers serve as generals for Forsaken armies, as well as elite scouts and assassins. Like most Forsaken, dark rangers remain in the back lines, performing precision attacks and curses.
Sounds like a shady DK to me, and given their similar backgrounds and necrotic spells... I asume if the average of the two classes would duel they would be somewhat even.

Mmm, no. Scouts and assassins are generally not good fighters. They're good KILLERS, but if they're caught, they're toast. The whole point of a scout is to move quickly and quietly and get the lay of the land. The whole point of an assassin is to kill quickly and quietly. If either get discovered, than they're doing it wrong.
Death Knights are shock troopers, sent in first to cause tremendous damage and soak up the majority of the damage so the mooks can finish it up later. If it came to a duel between a Dark Ranger and a Death Knight, the Death Knight would win hands down.

Does charm(MC) work on death knights?
Still both of these classes are powerfull. Debatable on who is more OP.
Wonder who was best in wc3...

Not exactly; Sylvanas is the original Dark Ranger after all. The rangers are meant to be elite scouts, more then capable of dealing with the threats they run into in the wilds. I'd put the death knight a little ahead due to armour, but the ranger would possibly be faster, and would be aiming for any and all chinks in the death knight's armour.
Magic wise, they are roughly equal, at least going off the abilities that Sylvanas had in WC3.

And these threats happened to be armor clad, necromancy wielding agents of the Scourge? I'd think not. Any "elite scout" would still be hard pressed to take a shock trooper one on one.

Aren't you the one always saying
Gameplay != lore

Any Dark Ranger worth her salt would not engage a Death Knight head on. Few can match the sheer brutality of their relentless onslaught. Shooting them down from a vantage point, going for the weak spots in their armor, seems the best bet. I don't see the fragile Dark Rangers standing up to a Death Knight in any sort of fair combat and putting up much of resistance.
They're just too different. Dark Rangers are scouts, assassins, infiltrators. Death Knights are unstoppable juggernauts.
