Probably Hat because he'd keep me entertained and be strong enough to kill zombies which would eventually swim their way to the island.
I am dashing and strong. O.o
We also don't argue that much unless it's about certain Wowhead posters (
cough
).
Hey, its not my fault you want to post in
Stormwind
, and I want to post in the
Vally of Honor
. Geez! I don't think we can be Island buds, if you don't let that go =P
Cheers,

#82- Ok- it's the zombie apocalypse. You wake up and everything has gone to hell. Who's your crew, what's your plan, and how do you rate your chances?
Rules for this zombie apocalypse:
- If you get bit, you turn into a zombie in a couple of hours.
- If you die, in any way, you're up and hungry again in a few minutes.
- No runners.
- Zombies are classic infection-type zombies- bullet to the head to kill, no magic involved, actually dead, want to eat people, etc.

No runners? Then it's just a matter of finding a boat, and then living on an island. I live near the ocean. I'll just lay low in the mountains for a while, and then make my way to a boat, and then I'm golden. I'll take several maps with me too, as to find a nice secluded island.

My main plan would be sawing off Florida because that's where the zombie attacks are!
Um. Well I'd have to break into this gun shop or one of the geeky shops (so I can take the swords) and teach myself not to kill myself or anyone else accidentally with them. I'm kind of at an advantage being somewhere with a relatively small population and surrounded by water, so it'd just be a case of killing the zombies on the island. I'd probably go to the woods and live there if town's overran, though, and sleep in trees and stuff. I'd also have to teach myself to drive and a whole bunch of other stuff, probably.
Who am I kidding, I don't have the physical stamina or speed or motivation for anything like that. I'd be dead in a few days.
Edit: Even better survival idea. Claim one of the castles (probably the one that's only accessible at low tides) and make sure I leave a nice queue on tumblr.

Do other laws still apply to these zombies? Like do they rot if it is hot or freeze when it is cold?
Yes they will freeze at below zero temps, though not immediately. They will eventually rot. Maybe not as fast as a normal cadaver, but I would say within a year of element exposure, they'll be gone. Just remember anyone who dies ever will still be a zombie.
I find it interesting that no movie ever stops to think about rotting. They're all "who wants to live in this world," and no one is like, "you know dead flesh rots, right?"

My crew would just be myself. My plan is to go to Venice because Venice is beautiful and I can't play games. My chances of survival? 97% chance of suicide, lol.

I'll offer myself to the zombie gods, because why not? I need some brains.

Of course, you also have to make sure said island doesn't have any easily accessible beaches, or else you'll end up with one of two things: 1. Zombies walking up out of the surf, or 2. An infected boat coming along, crashing, and spilling it's cargo of zombies on your island.Do other laws still apply to these zombies? Like do they rot if it is hot or freeze when it is cold?

Most of the time though, the zombie virus seems to act as a semi-preservative; there's also the fact that a lot of the time carrion creatures, insects and bacteria don't really feast on the living dead(and in World War Z it's outright told that Solenium kills anything that tries to eat the zombies) so you just have to wait for time to get rid of it(World War Z zombies had a shelf life of 2-4 years).

My crew..I'd have no idea. My plan; don't really have one, beyond trying to get out of the town I'm in and finding a secluded location. My chances; probably not the best but little better then the standard person.

That's interesting, but the liklihood of the second, in the open ocean, is so minimal its negligible. The other shouldn't be much of an issue. I don't think a human body, left in the ocean, can function after a certain time period, even with a zombie virus. The saltwater is just too much of a corrosive agent.

Likelihood could be 'better' then you'd think, since finding an actual secluded island with no existing population is nil to none as anyone with access to a boat would be doing the same thing you planned to do; and really, as seen recently with the 'ghost ship' that washed up off the coast of BC after the tsunami in Japan shows the currents could drag a boat full of the dead to your island.

It could happen... that's agreeable.

I'd probably try to fortify my house and the immediate area and stay here for as long as possible, after stacking up on supplies from the nearby way-too-big supermarket. We have
a lot
of massive forests up here, so timber for blocking stuff wouldn't be at all hard to come by. And besides, if zombies freeze below zero like the rest of you weaklings, I'd get by just fine up here. It'd be boring for sure, but I would be very much alive.

MyTie
I'd avoid supermarkets. Need to stock up now, before it hits, really. Once a zombie apocalypse hits, everyone will rush to the supermarket, which is why it is a deathtrap.

Very true; I shall have to devise a new plan.

I'm sticking with my Kevlar motorcycle suit theory. If the zombies can't pierce what you're wearing, then they cease to be much of a threat. Then I get to just do whatever the hell I want.

this
is the only thing you need to wear in the zombie appolypse
Its a motorcycle protection suit made of Kevlar. Zombies cannot bite through kevlar. So in the event of the zombie Apocalypse, get yourself to the nearest cycle shop, grab a suit, put on a helmet
Enjoy being zombie proof.
Until of course, the swarm knocks you down, sits on you, pulls your body apart and eats you of course lol.
