I read some book out loud to my wife about aliens that live in people's spines... "the host" i think it was. Ughh
If that's the one I think it is, it was written by the same hack who did the Twilight series...I truly respect that your brain didn't melt and leak out of your skull while reading that MyTie.

Last book finished was
The Impossible Cube
, by Steven Harper (book 2 of The Clockwork Empire), currently bouncing back and forth between
What Would Satan Do?
by Anthony Miller and
The Jennifer Morgue
, by Charles Stross. Eagerly anticipating
The Janus Affair
, by Pip Ballantine and Tee Morris (book 2 of The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences).
Yeah, I'm something of an avid reader. <3 my nook.

Before A Song of Ice and Fire...I'd probably have to ask my Kindle. Hmm, let's go with
Codex Alera
.
As soon as I finish A Dance with Dragons, I'll be reading Strangers in a Strange Land.

#63 How fast do you type?
Post by

Pretty vague question... I don't think many people actually have their speed tested. At a rough guess based on how fast I am typing this response, I'd say I do about 100wpm.

From
here
, 42wpm with no mistakes. I type faster when I'm not copying stuff down, though probably not by much.
I'm also really tired and kind of jittery, so it would probably be faster normally.
I just broke that test:
Your speed was: 3587wpm.

Not even going to try that. I know for a fact I am a slow typer. But as long as I get what I am trying to say across and without confusing everyone I'm ok with it for now. I don't want to be a person who jst sits down and types up reports all day long.

In the test from Kaytoni, I scored 83. In
here
, I scored 85. I can easilly make a transcript as someone is talking, used to do transcripts back in high school, for the entire class. I do not use the standard finger layout where you are supposed to have your index fingers on F and J. I can also type faster when I type to a beat, heh.

I type pretty damn fast when I'm not copying stuff, but my eyes-hands coordination isn't as good as I'd like so I'm slowed down when I try to copy stuff. Had 106 WPM with 1 mistake.

With a recruitment agency a couple of months back I did a typing test, and got 84 wpm with 97% accuracy.
