I prefer to be in the fight having that chance of the mob just turning around and punching me in the face. So to me the rogue was love at first stab :P. Nothing beats dual-wielding and going ape on the mob in front of you.
I almost always play a caster, preferrably Sorcerer if there is such a distinction. I always enjoyed the idea that magic came from within, that it wasn't some arbitrary system of knowledge you could utilize to create "spells" as constructs of the mind or whatever. That way you are separate from the other classes not just by choice, but by innate ability.I guess we all want to be special ;)
mage/caster, especially if it's fire mage, don't know why but i love fire :)
I'm AnimefanDK and I usually play a ranged type of character, removing the enemy before it hits me is great.
Well i usually play warrior classes,if possible something like a knight or a paladin :)
Usually I go the way of the ranger, but in rare cases when the ranger isn't exactly balanced, I might find myself playing an offensive caster :)
I always play as a mage or its branches mostly. I prefer classes like Warlocks, Necromancers, that kind of stuff. I prefer being the one that dishes out a lot of damage and figure out ways to outplay classes in melee when it comes to PvP.
I don't have a specific class to play in rpg. I always choose my class considering my mood and preferences. The only thing i could say is that I always end up with Range DD like mage or hunter, but sometimes its definetely cool to bash some skulls with a warhammer or slice your enemies with big sword. But nevertheless my class of preference will be Mage.
I have always leaned towards playing the tank even going all the way back to the origination of the pen and paper days of D&D (yeah I know that shows my age). I first started playing MMORPGs when a fellow D&D player turned me onto origional EQ (it had only been out for about 2 months at the time so it was new) and I played a tank all the way through EQ. I played other classes here and there, I think I had a max level Enchanter at some point only to make money from selling buffs LOL. Then when WoW went live I switched over and continued to play a tank. I now have a max level and well geared tank of all 4 types. They each have their ups and downs but over all I have always enjoyed my Warrior tank. So if your ever on Andorhal and need a tank look me up, if there is incoming damage I will be happy to stand in front of it for you!
As my history in wow and some other singleplayer RPG's I tend to go with the Rogues. I have a weakness for weakness. To be able to slay mobs on my own and just with my blades. With some advantages ofcourse.Because the rogue is a class of chaos (or extreme control) I also like the casters, the warlock specifically. No pets, no help, just casting and putting curses up and just let them run in panic to their deaths. As with the latest class of WoW I fell in love with the death knights. A massive, so to say, bull that just keeps on walking through the ranks cutting down everything in it's path.In short, I like that classes that bring pain to their enemies and cast fear in their eyes.Sincerely,Raziel
Generally in co-op games I love playing the healer class, or whatever comes closest to support. I find a lot of fun in keeping people alive or being a buff bot and helping team members kick some serious butt. But in solo RPG's I enjoy mages or rogues. Preferably mages though. Who doesn't love blowing people up? :D
I used to always play Barbarians or Warriors. I'm typically the hack-and-slash type, but lately I've been playing more and more casters. My characters in the Elder Scrolls series are almost entirely rogue/mage combinations, relying on stealth and bows for sniping targets at a distance, then resorting to magic and daggers for the rare times when my sneakiness is not so sneaky or I am forced into melee-range combat.
