Melee! Casting spells from afar, shooting them with arrows and sneaking up behind people is no fun compared to running straight into the fray and wrecking house (or getting wrecked yourself)

In MMO games I always enjoy playing a healer, same with games that allow co-op. In single-player RPGs I generally play a Rogue type of class. Games like Dragon Age that have a party system allow me to play any role that I feel I might enjoy, because I can substitute my healing or DPS for another NPC in my group.
I really enjoy being able to play with a sword, but also cast the occasional spell. Somewhat of a paladin I guess, or a warrior with some range with spells. Thanks for this opportunity!
I usually play the stealthy spellcaster. I like finishing fights before they even start but if I have to fight I like doing it from range with spells.
Ranger. It really depends on the setting, but if I can, I like to play a Ranger. The Beauty of Reckoning is that you don't really have to pick. You want to be a Warlock that can stealth and backstab? Go for it. You want to be a Warrior that shoots fireballs? That works too.I can't wait to play this game. My girlfriend really liked the demo too^^.
When i play an RPG i like to be a caster. I like being one because of all the unique abilitys they get that you can shoot far away. In WoW however im a pally - hate it lol but i am one (i really wish i chose a druid for my 1st 80 :( ) but otherthan wow im always a caster! who doesnt love shootin fireballs and turning people into sheep!
I play all class types . Typically pick the better looking race and go from there.
I usually play melee with self healing.
I love the lore of casters, however... I always end up going with a melee warrior. I'm an "up in your face - cold, hard steel and huge heavy weapons of death and destruction using brute force" kind of guy!
I definitely say I more of a range or rouge type of class I am not really sure why though i just really enjoy them and I have to say love the contest
I always start with a melee DPS, then later change to a ranged one and never touch a healer.
In RPG games I like to start out with most classic (in my opinion) class.... Warrior! Or similar. One if the reasons why, (Perhaps a silly one) is that I think I will understand the class better. Since it's all 'real-life" abilities, more chances of me getting some idea on how it works.Second, as it's a hero mostly that we create, (or some complete badass anti-hero), Warrior makes the most sense. He is neutral, he can go in any direction. He can be Knight in a shinning armour or Barbarian in animal hide. Plenty of ways to work around that.Third, it's more up-close and personal. I would like to face the enemy in combat. Also, looking at all the posters, it's mostly (if not always) two of the guys squaring off against each other.
Some type of tanky dps build. If I have the option of using a shield....I will... =)
I usually play a warrior or a rogue. It's fun to get up close and personal.
