to complete most of the achievements pertaining to the old raiding content to get the drakes!
In game New Year's Resolution: Get a toon to lvl 85! I've got three different ones to the low 80's where I get restless or something and create a new one.Out of Game New Year's Resolution: Get a job!

I've never really been a huge fan of resolutions for the new year, because it either feels like you're copping out and making a simple resolution in order to give yourself an easy win (like tracking down level 79s as an 85 to get certain pvp holiday achievements *cough*), or you're setting yourself up for inevitable failure by raising the bar too high (like expecting 25 average raiders to understand how to use the pattern on the floor to quickly relocate their assigned spot, apparently!). I've seen very few people who are able to not only make resolutions that fall in between, but who can then successfully keep up the drive needed to execute on those resolutions. Being a huge cynic, I believe the real net result of new years resolutions is to make you feel really good and excited for a new year and believe that you can turn your life around in late December and then make you feel bad about yourself for not keeping your self-promises in early February :PThat all being said, I guess I can't really enter this contest without having some resolutions—and I DO have goals and resolutions, they're just not necessarily explicitly tied to the Gregorian calendar. But I guess they are now? Whoops, there goes my New Year's Resolution to not make New Year's Resolutions ;P Failed already!Anyway.In-game, I've been farming for the Fox Kit since Cataclysm came out and Scorched Stone since the 4.2 patch hit (well, and before that on Ahune, but let's not go back to those dark and painful memories haha). My goal is to get both, obviously, but I'd like to see at LEAST one of them before my birthday on the 19th (note that that's a hope, not a goal! If it doesn't happen it'll be just my luck and depressing, not a set-up to inevitable failure :P). I also destroyed (well, sort of) my Bloodsail Buccaneers rep when 4.0.3a hit and the new quests came out, and then destroyed my goblin rep getting Bloodsail back up to full exalted. I'm at 2408/21000 with Booty Bay now which means I have to go spend a few days out in Tanaris at some point, and I'd definitely like to get that done before the 5.0.x patch that releases pre-MoP content, and I have every shirt available to players in the game EXCEPT Precious' Ribbon so that MUST happen some time this year. I'd also like to learn to PvP but I tell myself that this expansion's gonna be the one I'm gonna learn in and then... not so much. Too much of a barrier to get in and not die in three seconds.Outside of the game, my guild's website hasn't gotten a makeover since Blackwing Lair and it's in pretty dire need of one. My webcomic's site doesn't have ANY sort of spiffy layout either and with me being such a visual person, that won't stand! I also have to either magically drum up some popularity for it or finally take it behind the woodpile this year, and I'm really conflicted about that, so that's definitely a goal for this year, either way. I've also been really sick the past few years, though it looks like the doctors might finally be narrowing down a diagnosis for me (and with a diagnosis comes treatment options!), so I really would like 2012 to be The Year That Ends With Me Feeling Good.
Over the past few years, I have made New Year's Resolutions and for the most part, stuck to them (except for the one to quit WoW that I've made over and over again). I've gradually changed my lifestyle, devoting each year to a different facet of self-improvement. This year, however, I suppose the general 'resolution' I made is to fine-tune and perfect all progress that I have made.Several specific goals I have for this year include: 1) Reaching my goal weight along with around 20 specific fitness performance goals. I have lost around 100 pounds since 2009.2) Getting a nice place with my boyfriend. Current living situation is far less than ideal.3) Enlisting in the United States Air Force, specializing in linguistics. This is a goal I've had my entire life and have been preparing since Fall.4) Launching a startup. This was a subconscious goal of mine, and somehow fell into my lap out of nowhere the first week of 2012 here.I spent a lot of time in December breaking down these goals and creating a gamification system for all of them. I've made tremendous progress in each area already in less than a week, both from hard work and luck. There is no possible way I'll let myself fall off the wagon this year. I've come too far, worked too hard - I've reached that point of no return. New Year's Resolutions don't seem so daunting when you set yourself up for success instead of failure. Good luck to everyone who is seriously undertaking a new beginning for themselves in 2012! Find a system that works for you and motivates you. Keep working at it - you'll get there!
in game: i would like to acquire the legendary rogue daggers and get my first legendary item!
To go to Blizzcon this year :DAnd win a wowhead contest >.>
My 2012 resolution is to finally make the trip to Blizzcon! I'm from Europe, and it will take months of planning just to find housing, booking my 16 hour flight to the east coast, scheduling my job vacations to match the event dates and most of all, convincing my family that i'm not completely insane for doing this!Yes, the financial cost will be great, the strain and the jetlag will probably take its toll on me, but all in all, it will be worth it, as i've been dreaming of attending the event ever since it started (die-hard blizzard fan here, been playing Diablo and WC since their first editions).See you guys there!
I honestly have a lot of plans for this year...1. Focus more on my website and hit another checkpoint.2. Launch a new webtool.3. Write more articles and find a good spell checker.4. Finish my CISCO training...and learn to swim.5. This might be the biggest of all my plans: to see myself after 7 July, after my wedding.I guess there are a few more but these are the main ones.Cheers.
My new years resolution is to be nicer to noobs in wow that ask for gold :P
I tend to strife for a New Years resolution that suits my inner ambitions, and step by step goals to make the World a better place for each and every soul. For this year, i have planned for a trip to The Dream Center, Los Angeles, CA. as an volunteer in an attempt for yet again to make a brighter future for those in need.
Go to school, go to work, go to the gym, and still make time to play WoW.Gonna be tight!
Successfully join the army, get a job there as well and play wow for another year!
My new year's resolution is to (as a tank) help more people get the heroic dungeon achievments that nobody wants to do, even if i already have the achievment.
To graduate Highschoolingame: MOAR MOUNTS AND MINIPETS :D
Too get the Diablo 3 beta.
My resolutions are to stop talking about hitting the gym and actually hit the gym, to get back on some sort of writing schedule again, and to find better and more fun ways to use the f-word. I figure at least one of those are doable.
