I love Winters Veil. Christmas is my favorite holiday in the real world and it's tons of fun to ride around on a reindeer snowballing people (I live in Australia so it's the closest I get to real snowballs.) Plus the decorations are gorgeous and who doesn't love presents :)
Hallow's End, I'm just a Halloween kind of person (I even used to work in a haunted house). Also, my main is a Warlock, and seeing him riding a flying broom amuses me for some reason.
A difficult question to answer... but I think in the end Winter Veil wins. It's already nice irl, but getting the same feeling in the world of warcraft, the home away from home, is just awesome.
i would have to say that my Favourite holiday would be winter veil because it is a nice time of the year in real life and wow it dons the aniversery of the release of cataclysm and i love being able to open up the presents under the tree in iron forge it is also nice that you can send and recieve gifts from your friends and your guildies so i guess that in short i like the atmosphere that is around on the holiday season. :) i hope i win!
Love Hallows End, the HH just makes the entire season
The first midsummer's festival. When Ahune was difficult and the ice stone was always melting! Plus all those daily quests awarded XP, so it was great for leveling.
My favourite festival is also Hallow's End which I find enjoyable and very evocative.Firstly, those instant mount flying broomsticks are fantastic from the whooshing noise as they start up, to the sight of your legs gently swinging in the air as you perch aboard your magical besom. They have made levelling archaeology an absolute whizz for me and I would so love one year round.I also love the small details that Blizz have put into the holiday like the dark candles dotted about, the jack o' lanterns everywhere, the fantastic feline familiar pet, complete with it's own little cat sized broomstick bobbing up and down with me when I fly.The use of the dungeon finder made the Headless Horseman instance super easy and even though I didn't win his mount sadly, I did get plenty of yummy purple ring, helms and sabres.Mostly the event reminds me of how much I loved Halloween as a little girl and it manages to bring back some of the magic I used to feel as a 6 year old, super excited about dressing up and bobbing for apples, keeping my eye on the night sky in case I should actually see a witch on a broomstick silhouetted against the spooky yellow moon.
Love brewfest - ram riding and beer - the perfect combination.
My guildmates call me Holidayianna, because I love them all! But if I had to choose just one, I think I would say Hallow's End. There is so much to do, and so many places to go. I was really happy there were new items (pets, masks, tiny wickerman) to earn. And, the Headless Horseman is pretty epic. I love putting my new Horseman Helm on my tiny gnome and cackling all over SW. It cracks me up every time.
My favorite holiday in WoW would have to be Winter Veil, mainly because I love Christmas, and it's also the time of year when I first started playing WoW back in 2005, so it has that nostalgia factor as well. =)
