My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft is Hallow's End, hands down. What's not to love about it? Especially this year. Candy (my favorite food~), and tricks *evil laugh*, and the ability to stink bomb the crud out of Stormwind or Undercity, depending on with alt I'm on, to my heart's content. It's especially fun to have contests with your friends to see who managed to hit the most moving targets in one round, and by moving targets I mean players, of course. That can be rather tricky, but that just makes it all the more fun. The costumes are fun as all heck; How often does my female nelf get to run around as a male undead? Once a year, that's how often. I do wish there was a bigger selection to choose from, but oh well. Can't have everything. Throwing pumpkins on unsuspecting people's heads, and killing the headless horseman is always fun as well. As is turning my PUG group members from said kill into bats~. The companion pets are the best in the game, as far as I'm concerned. A creepy little pumpkin, a crate that actually ate a squirrel on that first day (that was awesome, even if I haven't managed to get it to do it again), and a flying witch cat! Now, if only that mount would drop, it would be perfect.Well, got to go now, I'm going to get the last pieces of my real costume soon, as well as carve pumpkins. In just a few days I get to do all these things - well, most of them - in real life. And then in sixteen days I turn eighteen and get presents! Man I love this time of year...
Hallow's End. But Brewfest is a close second. I like the fall holidays quite a bit. The orange and brown tone to everything. Plus enough alcohol and candy to make an entire army sick! Haha. Fun times.
Winter's Veil because it brings everyone together... to get ganked.
lol, someone is obsessed. lmao
Brewfest is the best holiday. It facilitates being permanently drunk in game. Anything that makes the game feel more realistic is a big plus.
my favorite holiday is feast of winter veil, because who doesnt love free presents! (seriously. free presents)
Hallows End. always remember doing Headless Horseman over the past years.
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?Definently Hallows EndI started playing World of Warcraft around 3 years ago and it was during the Hallows end. I didn't understand anything about the game, but there is one thing I remember The Headless Horseman shouting all his lines. One thing that affects me might be that I like halloween, but it's not really celebrated in my country. :)
Hallow's End is my favorite, I love to be able to ride a broom and have my companion familiar cat riding beside me too, also on a broom. Its a blast!
i like pilgrim"s bounty. i can get cooking skills from 0-300 just doing the quests and achievements. and who can pass up a chance to get 2 separate mounts from Brewfest. but hallow's end is my Favorite cuz u can get a really cool mount and the helm is so cool. not to mention that low lvl toons can get 3 or more lvls + several achievements and many fight paths just trick or treating. and it's a nice change of pace from all the PVP and PVE going on. just flying around on a super fast broom, sight seeing all the wonders of the World of Warcraft. all while trick -or-treating. i don't really care for the title though. "mistyblu the hallowed" lol sounds a lil perverted.
Of course its the Hallow's End event. Now all the other holidays are fine, but nothing with as much content that you actually want to participate in.WoW has always had a Gothic vibe, and this holiday just adds to that theme. New pets, mounts, a boss, egging opposite faction cities, and candy! Other holidays often lack content and central story. You get the sense that the common enemy terrorizing your faction's villages is a real threat. He is in your home and you need to save the town, and get your cool flying horse mount.Christmas is nice, Brewfest is delicious, and pirates day is pointless; but Hallow's End is a memorable event that you will anticipate each year!
my favorite is day of the dead, becuase it reminds me of my grandfather who died in WWII.
Hallow' End is the best because I just completed it on all 10 of my horde toons =P
I have only been playing WoW for a few months, and I've got to say that Hallow's End is the first holiday I've really gotten into and I'm loving it SO MUCH. I trick-or-treated IRL until the last year I could possible get away with it--senior year of high school--and have never really managed to get into the whole "drunken raucousness" Halloween that seems to infect so many of my peers. But I can trick-or-treat in WoW--almost as fun as giving out candy to kids!
