Brewfest. Underage drinking! :P
It has to be Hallow's End! The effort and detail put into this event are fantastic! The updates this year where terrific as well!
Pre cata my favorite holiday was the lunar festival. I used to keep the green shard quest line for the scepter of the shifting sands around all year just so i could start the event when the area was packed with players. Seeing peoples reaction to all the ghosts running around followed by a dragon was always very amusing. Now id have to say my favorite event is Hallow's end. I love the story behind it more than the others, and I still hope for the mount every year.
My favorite WoW holiday is definitely Hallow's End! I love the feel of halloween and each year it's the only holiday I truly look forward to. The flying brooms are so cool! My first character was a priest and I had leveled it to 40, to me this was a huge deal, as i was new to WoW and it took me months to even reach 40. Lol, albeit I didn't focus much on leveling, most of my time was spent with friends in Stormwind, especially during Hallow's End! But yes, i could finally get a mount! YAY level 40 ! xD And so i tried my best to get a magic broom to match my cloth scarlet monastery set, you know the red and purple one? I had also managed to have a Staff of Jordan (which before BoA's was fairly rare, at least to me) ^_^. Nonetheless, I had a blast each year on Halloween! Riding around pretending to be a witch on my flying broom. It was amazing :D!
Brewfest is my favourite holiday because of all the Wolpertingers! They're so cute :D Or maybe it's just all the ale I was drinking....
i like hallows end because theres nothing better then killing the same boss on 3 different characters for 15 days in a row hoping for a rare mount only to have your bags slowly fill with tauren masks
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?Lunar Festival has to be my favorite holiday because its the start of the new year, you get to set new goals, look back and see what you have accomplished the year before. You can also look at it like a new start as well.
My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft is Noblegarden.I remember waking up that morning, sitting my toon in Goldshire and WATCHING OTHER PEOPLE STEAL MY EGGS!DON'T THINK I DON'T REMEMBER YOU, OPPORTUNITY OF US-KARGATH!Freakin' Jerk.
Winter Veil, I love hanging out with friends in the wintery wonderland!
I'd have to go with Hallow's End for sure. The event is inspired by my favorite real-life holiday Halloween which already makes it a more probable candidate but even putting that aside, it's one of the most 'complete' events that offers a good balance and wide variety of features/achievements. There are plenty of features to explore and specially since the change to trick or treating, it doesn't so much like a grind. The Headless Horseman is also easily the coolest villain in the game regardless of being a trivial encounter. I mean c'mon; he rides (and rewards!) one of the coolest mounts, has a craaazy wicked laugh and the ability to set starting-zone buildings on fire - all of this without ever breaking a rhyme!
My favorite world event has to be the Lunar Festival. It was one of the first world events that I experienced and the whole thing with the elders during leveling and the firework launchers around the cities is awesome. I remember getting most of the schematics for engineering on my character and I stocked up like 250+ of different fireworks that I used in combination with some white and grey smoke flares in front of the Auction House in Ironforge - Took quite a while to use all of it. ;)I suppose it partly is my favorite world event due to it being the first one - Kind of "nostalgic" about it.I've never really attended the events that much, so I might have missed out on a lot of stuff, but now that I've leveled a Druid up to 85 (who I plan to be my main character) I plan to accomplish What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been and see all the world events that are accesable. Looking forward to Day of the Dead!
Brewfest of course. Probably the best excuse to raid drunk and those damnable pink elephants and worpletingers need to be exterminated!
