Murlocs would make a much better race
They would aggro onto everyone else.

Well, then what about other races from Warcraft 3? I'm sure there are some better choices than pandas.
And I am saying that pandas are cartoonish... so I'm sorry for insulting your
celebral intellectengence
.
You're not insulting my intelligence, many people who say they are cartoonish do so because its supposed to mean a decline in quality ie: an insult to their supposed inteligence.
The other races involved in Warcraft 3 that aren't playable are(that I rememember): High Elves, murlocs, broken draenei, demon races, naga and ogres.
Are any of these better? Personally I'd love to play High Elves, but they aren't different than Blood Elves (barely not even cultural since patch 2.4), the demons aren't turning good, the murlocs aren't turning inteligente, the ogres are too big, the broken draenei are from Outland and the naga aren't betraying Azshara.
Now, I ask, why are the Pandarens the wrong choice.
Because they are as cartoonish as the rest of the entire franchise?
Yes, Murlocs would make a much better race. And just because they are cartoonish isn't the only reason I don't like the pandas. I also don't like all this Asian influence in this expansion. Where did the Azerothian influence go? These pandas resemble real-life pandas too much. If anything, they should be more like how the taurens are set up. Taurens aren't cows standing on two feet... Pandas shouldn't be pandas standing on two feet.
Night Elves have Asian influences all over their culture....why don't you have a problem with that? As for your Tauren example....that makes absolutely no sense, anymore then it would if you had used the Worgen.....
TL;DR Pandariens are pandas on two feet. And Tauren are bulls on two feet, Worgens are wolves on two feet, Murlocs/Jinyu are fish on two feet, Mogu are monkeys are two feet, Mantids/Quarji are insects on two feet, etc etc etc etc.
Not at all. There's a significant difference between bulls and the Tauren. Same with the Murlocs and fish... and everything else you've gave as an example. Pandarians are pandas on two feet... with no change at all except that they have a bit bigger belly.

And no different then the Furbolgs(Bear men) who already exist in Warcraft.....but that's because they are the cousins of the Pandarens so.....
Edit: Of course Shasow.....why does any of this really bother you? You don't like the expansion? Simple solution: Don't upgrade, just stay with Cata or whatever version you have. Want to experience the new things but don't like the Pandarens....then don't roll one: Except for Gobs and Worgens, all other races can be Monks.

Lets see. Azerothian influence has:
Jamaican trolls.
European humans.
Victorean humans.
Native-american talking cows.
Capitalist goblins.
JAPANESE NIGHT ELVES
How come you feel that Azerothian influence is going away when not only Azeroth is very much multi-cultural and there was already asian influence in classic wow?
And billboards. Goblins have billboards.
This is along the lines of what I'm talking about, WoW has always had a cartoony feel and always been heavily influenced that pesky real life that keeps getting in the way of my play time.

The other Asian influences are not nearly as noticeable as this expansion.
And, once again... Furbolgs aren't bears on two feet. Pandarians are pandas on two feet. Take a panda, put it on two feet, give it some meat, give it an Asian straw hat, and you got a Pandarian.

Then don't play it. There, issue solved.
Edit: Actually, yeah a Furbolg is
just a bear on it's hind legs
; have you ever seen
a bear
standing up? Of course, there's a
panda
on it's hind legs....looks nothing like a Pandaren, but that's okay, cause we all know that cartoons are real.

You're right. Except the millions of pandas that will be swarming around my Tauren character.
And, no... not
AT ALL
on the Furbolg thing.

And? How is that different from the millions of Gobs/Blood Elves/Draenei/Worgens/Death Knights that come out during the early weeks of an expansion? Since none of them are hurting your play time.

True, I took my dwarf on a stroll through SW and the worgen population seems to be about even with the rest of the races at this point. The Worg-splosion is over. Same with DKs. BEs are still strong in number, but of course they are oh so fabulous how can they not be? :P

Well, I suppose you're right about that. But, still... Murlocs > Pandas.

Not for me; hate the old fish race, but if they ever make Jinyu playable, I'll be jumping on that boat.

Well yeah, everyone knows Trolls>Tuskarr>Murlocs>those other races we continue to allow to exist.

So this is your complaint against the pandaren? Too
asian
chinese? I hope you can understand the subjectivity and just how personal this stance is. Its like saying Wotlk had too many undead. Or the BC had too many demons.
No. That's not the only complaint. It's just like they did a
Ctrl+C
on an island in China and did a
Ctrl+Y
into the game. And the whole thing about WotLK and BC is completely invalid. You don't see the Undead roaming the streets or demons forming countries.

.....You see undead roaming the streets all the time; anywhere the Forsaken are. And hate to tell you this, but the Burning Legion does have a hierarchy, as well as having their own home worlds: Xoroth for the Dreadlords, Eredar have/had Argus, Sayaads(Succubus) have their home planet, Ereduin(Doomguard/Doom Lords) have their home world, etc etc for the rest of the Legion races.
And no, it's not a direct copy of the Chinese culture, just as Tauren isn't a direct copy of Native American, Trolls aren't a direct copy of Jamaican, and the rest of the races.

Oh, I thought he was talking about in the real-world.

I suppose so. But, still... it isn't the best idea. And pandas are still direct copies of real-life pandas.

I get what you're saying. No other area in WoW looks so much like a region from real-life.
And no other region in WoW was nearly untouched by the Third War.
Oh wait. That's not true.
Fixed.
Besides, how come WOTLK and BC were invalid? The threats of the Scourge and the Burning Legion were pretty much real
... I thought you were talking about the real-world (Earth).
