Because the add-ons play the game for you and can make EVERY spec of EVERY class equally easy?
They are not an aspect of the game, they're third-party tools allowed by Blizz.
What about people who don't play with addons? Should they just not play classes like Spriests because it will be too hard?

Not if you are good with the class itself and can keep track of your dots using the tools alreadt presented in-game.
Add ons just make it so people don't have to work as hard.

But we are not talking about add ons. They take the difficulty out of playing a class efficiently. A Warlock or Spriest can be just as good with or without add ons.
I mean, as an example, a shadow priest "needs" more add ons (or, at least, more complex ones) than an arcane mage to have their difficulty of play reduced.
Doesn't that RIGHT THERE prove Spriests are more difficult to play than Arcane Mages? People work harder to REDUCE the difficulty. The same can be said for nearly every spec besides arcane mages; people work notably hardy on add ons to reduce the difficulty. Why don't they work so hard with Arcane Mages? Because they are already easy to play.
Thus, Arcane Mages are easier to play than other specs.

But addons are not tools.
A hammer is a tool. You use it to pound in a nail. The game gives you the hammer.
Addons are a machine that puts the nail in for you; ignoring the hammer entirely.

Blizzard specifically targets and "bans" addons that play the game for you. Your theory just went to the ground.

By their definition.
As far as I'm concerned, having an addon tell you when to cast your DoTs, rather than having to look up at the boss bar and watch them, is having the game be played for you.

Or they can just watch their cooldowns, which are right there on your bar and easier to keep track of than the DoTs up on the boss bar.

Don't bother Sinespe. This is the guy that thinks children in Africa die from natural selection and doesn't care...

Still don't see why I should...

Arcane Mages are in a really good spot atm. Other classes need to be brought up to their level of dps capability. So don't nerf Mages per say, just buff PvE dps specs.
As for PvP, Frost Mastery nerf.

Yes people who play a class and know what they're talking about are talking "none-sense".

Doesn't mean that every player knows the important and detailed facts about their class.

Actually, an add-on is more of a bit of extra muscle in the arm that holds the hammer, if we're using metaphors.

Doesn't mean that every player knows the important and detailed facts about their class.
Therefore you know nothing about the intricacies of a mage. Just because I know very little about a class doesn't mean I'm going to QQ about them being better then I am at a certain aspect of the game.
