Random groups....

I would just like to know if anybody else has experianced that random group dps sucks regardless of the level range your playing....
I've been leveling alts got a mage on 53 and a rogue on 55. 1st I played with the mage and found that I'm top dps. yay for me but I'm doing 40% of all the damage without any heirlooms and both the other 2 dps guys are fully heirloomed ( chest shoulder cloak head weapon + 2 trinkets ). So 1st I thought a well prolly because arcane mage is OP. Then I went on my rogue and again same storie... doing most of the dps without any heirlooms only this time I'm out dpsing a arcane mage that is once again fully heirloomed. Usualy I would be happpy with this because I can boost my own ego in the comfort of my own home. Then I thought hmmm, I want a challange to be top dps for a change so I log my main Enhance Shammy ilevel 348 and guess what again I'm the weakest geared player but the top dps in the group. We wiped on boss with the raptor that kills the spirits... yeah I don't know the name of the boss only been there twice...
Is it wrong of me to find this irritating? It seems like wow "casual" play is becoming more of only playing with guildies/friends to have fun because everybody is slacking.. atleast the ones I get grouped with..

I have wiped on terribly simple bosses but also found myself in a random ZA that completed a bear run. Your experiences may vary.

you would think that wearing heirlooms would be an indication of some familiarity with dps mechanics
Truth is every situation is unique especially for leveling toons.
In my guild, I often found that subs(family member, friend) were playing the toon of guild members leveling alt. They typically underperformed in dungeon situations.
Some were extremely bad...especially the annoying young children of parents in my guild.
I came up with some creative ways to say no to run request without hurting anyone's feelings. :)

I guess I just over reacted last night.... a well another good thing to find out I'm not the only one pulling such groups....
