Hmmm....I don't know if doing 2.5k DPS in a level 80 dungeon is the dumbest reason for a person to get kicked. Maybe the most common reason, but not the dumbest. I'm not saying it was the nice thing to do, but I'm not sure it was on par with stories of healers getting kicked for low DPS, tanks getting kicked for asking to be allowed to pull, etc.
I once got kicked from a dungeon for announcing that I was rolling need on frost orbs, and that everyone should follow suit. It's not a great story, but it's the only time I can remember getting kicked. I'm sure there must have been other times in the last however-many-years LFD has been around, but I can't remember them

The tank was pulling about 5-7k dps (!) and everyone else was below him. I was pulling a low 2.5k, then he called me out and said "lol noob cant keep up with tank l2p". I respond with "Im doing dungeons so I can get better gear, not to get harassed" Then he and the healer vote kick me.
I think that may be more of a grievous vote kick, as opposed to stupidity, but still unacceptable D:
For me, the stupidity is completely on my part. Was kick out of my first normal Stone Core runs for undeniably failing on Healing. I mean half my spells wouldn't even work?
After I found myself in Stormwind I realized I was in Balance.....

I remember being kicked because one of the dps, who just wiped the grp, said I was the one wiping the grp. Before I could respond I was already voted.

I was kicked once for slacking. I said "excuse my dps I'm lagging a bit trying to fix." Found the problem and ran in doing 14k dps and before next pull I got kicked because I was slacking since my dps is almost double as it was before oO
