I quite the game many months ago, after killing LK, was at 9/12 HM bosses.
Main reason for leaving the game (and how I understood it) is that 10man loot = 25man loot and 10man HM loot = 25 HM loot. Is that still the case?
Is there some sort of advantage for raiding in 25man raids? 10man raids aren't exciting for me and "to be truthful" I don't like it when they tell me that 10man is going to be equal to 25man from now on. Call me elitist, though to a large extent i'm not. But do not flame this thread, as much as answer these questions please.
Can't really think of any reason but nostalgia for coming back.
Should I come back? :o

But you do have to make a choice: Either run a 10 man or run the 25 man as they are on the same lock out.

They drop the same loot, and I think the same amount per player (2 on 10man, 5 on 25man?), so that hasn't changed.
I'm not sure why that would make a difference though, the only reason I can think of is, indeed, elitism. If 10m aren't exciting you should try and find a guild that does 25m raids, but there is no more inherent advantage. Some fights are easier on 10m, some are easier on 25m but in general it's the same.
If you only come back to be nostalgic there will probably be lots of stuff to piss you off (as things have changed), but if you come back because you want to have fun then there are lots of ways to do so :)
There are, a few days after the patch, already quite a few guilds at 7/7, so it yet has to be seen how long the truly skilled (like, 0,5% of the player base, even though they can be quite vocal :P ) can occupy themselves with 4.2 HC.
I can't judge if you are one of them, I would say don't bother if there's nothing in game to keep you busy besides raiding, but if you aren't (or if there is) there's lots to do :)

Yes, its still the same.
The advantage to 25s is the loot may be the same, there is just more of it.
In most cases, 25s were actually easier than 10s. In many of the 10 man encounters, losing 1 person is a wipe. Rarely is that the case in a 25. The only real added difficulty for a 25 man group is getting 25 decent players together at one time....that and the increased lag that usually came with it for me.
And lastly, No, you should not come back. One less elitist that was have to deal with. Find a game somewhere where you can be a special snowflake, and you will be much happier.

Thank you for the replies. I think I'll try rift for a month as they currently have a special offer. I do miss WoW. The world is so big, yet everyone stay cuddle in their cities. I do plan to come back someday when devs bother to put enough content. 15$ is just too much.
Parts of the society seem to have regressed, as people try to call reformist, as elitist, even when you declare you're not. As if it is some type of fascism! Elitist are the people you ask for advice and I think its quite fun to strive to be one, the game should be large enough to encumber casualists and elitists, they definitely are earning enough money to get it both ways. Instead you're getting elaborate blue PR posts and 7 bosses every 6 months or so!
Thanks again for helping me to decide. I just wish other MMOs had the same interesting lore as WoW. Rift lore is /yawn worthy. Blizzard make excellent games, yet they seem distracted with other things these days.
I'll hope to come back one day, I'm feel really nostalgic.
