Is WoW on its deathbed?

Being a former WoW-player, I have been lurking around the forums to see if WoW is still in shape and playable, and watched videos on youtube of it and read the comments.
Maybe there is a constant flow of whining from bloggers/trollers on the internet, but I have found that there are more and louder voices than ever before stating that WoW is on it's deathbed and no longer any fun and so forth.
When I was playing the game about 1.5 years ago, I noticed that the game had its ups and downs. The ups were arguably in the beginning of WoW when people discovered Battlegrounds, dungeons, raids and got to meet other people and help each other out.
The downs were often in the later part of the patches and expansions, when people had gotten tired of the old stuff and wanted new things to do.
But now there is Cataclysm. Trailers and interviews looked promising along with the idea of revamping the old look for a new one. People were getting really excited and there was, surprisingly, not much of complaints from people about Blizzard 'destroying' old Azeroth.
And then the expansion came out, and people appeared to love it. The new classes, the new Azeroth, the new professions and the game being harder now than it was in TBC and WotLK seemed to fulfill the community's demands. The expansion appeared to be a huge success.
But then, as with all the expansions, people started complaining.
The game was so hard, casual players could not raid like they did in WotLK and people started missing old Azeroth.
Stuff like that is completely normal, but then people angry voices did not settle, and still today, people seem to be unsatisfied and tired of the game, which I don't think is normal.
So what do you think? I would really like your opinion! Is WoW just going through a normal rough patch or are people permamently full of WoW?
Thank you for reading this, I was bored and made a bigger post than I had planned :P.
EDIT: Fixed the title, sorry, English is my second language

The vocal complaining minority does not speak for everyone; and no, it's not on it's death bed.

I agree with this.

Well yeah, with around 10 million players I guess WoW is not going anywhere. But do you (and when I mean 'you' I mean everyone reading this) feel like WoW is not as good as it has been over the years, and maybe you could imagine stop playing in less than half a year? What I am trying to say is that I want to know if people that ever since Cataclysm launch have felt that WoW is getting worse and worse.

No, it's not. As a matter of fact, I think it is getting better. /shrug

I think wow is going through a rough patch, one hopefully blizzard recognizes. This also coincides with the players who are still playing after 5years are starting to tire of wow and quit.

YJ make a pretty good point, and I have another take on it as well.
1. The game is getting old for a lot of us. 4 to 6 years of playing a game...any game...is along time. While Blizz has, and continues to, add to the game, it is still just WoW. So there is a portion of your complainers...players that are just burned out on the game and want something new, but somehow expect WoW to give them that. No matter what Blizz adds to it, the core concept of the game is, and always will be the same. (to some extent, this really even includes most any MMORPG game, as the core of them all is really the same....quest, grind, level, kill bad guys, and make stuff....)
2. Wrath did two things. It spoiled a lot of players with the ease of basic progression and gameplay. Compared to the normal content, we were all way to OP. Healers had infinite mana, DPS could kill elite mobs faster that they could be killed by them, allowing most classes to solo almost anything. Many encounters could be done without a traditional tank or healer, if the group was good enough....ect....ect.
On the same accord, the "casualness" of Wrath ticked off a lot of Vanilla / BC players because it was too easy. Some were Ok with the Hard modes, others didnt like the idea of just increased difficulty, but the same fights (an issue that IMHO, continues today). So here is yet another portion of the playerbase that is QQing on the forums.
3. Cata so far has been a love it or hate it xpac it seems. It hasnt (again IMO) been the savior that it was expected to be for many players. It seems that it has had some severe balancing issues, going from insanely hard, to wrathish easy, then back again. With Cata, I see a lot of QQ on month, then praise and joy the next...often from the same players.
4. And last, I see a ton of the QQ'ers on the forums dont even play the game anymore. They just lurk on the boards and voice an opinion on a game that they dont even play, often just repeating something that they heard or read from somewhere else.
So my thought is...if you feel like playing again, come back for a month or 2 and see for yourself, because in the end, its only your opinion that matters...not mine, or anyone elses.

Yes, it's on its deathbed.
As is every other thing.
The moment something begins/is born/is created/is developed, it is on its deathbed.
Some deathbeds are cots, others are futons, some are waterbeds.
But everything begins its long slow march to its demise the moment it is created.
Actually, I heard of some organism that doesn't die of old age - your argument is invalid
But seriously; no. Just no. The game is not "On its deathbed", for everyone 1 person complaining, there is 100 who does not. The vocal minority does not speak for everyone.

It's = It is, which is a contraction
Its = Possessive pronoun
Just FYI
What? You're telling us "Is WoW on it is deathbed?" isn't a correct sentence? Preposterous!

I only read this thread to post this, but I'm glad to see I was beaten to it.
