Posts like this one still leave me confused. I see all the "LFG horror story" posts and i have to wonder if it is just some battlegroups are waaay worse than others, or if the poster is just over exaggerating their experience.
I have been in probably thousands of randoms, and sure, i have had my share of just complete "WTF" moments and groups. But they are the exception, not the rule. I would guess that I have had maybe less than 20 just complete, horrifying, failures.
I really think that the issue is, some players were so used to Wrath heroics where you almost had to TRY to wipe, that any wipe of any kind in any dungeon at any level (whew!) is considered a "LFG fail". These things happen....low level players may not be on their 6th alt in full heirlooms, and the Cata dungeons are difficult for players that enter them just barely making the iLevel cut (or worse, cheating the cut with bagged gear). So wipes happen....do some explaining in a civil manner, and try again. if it doesnt work after a couple attempts, isolate the problem and kick...or leave and find a new group. It seems pretty simple to me.

and while i enjoy a flawless run its not expected but I am not gonna wait a hour while I explain how they should play classs and regem and reforge all the wrong stuff.
So basically you expect everyone else to make your playing experience enjoyable while you sit on your lazy ass and do nothing.

Run with guild mates/friends then and you don't have to worry about it.

Harsh much, Funden? Kind of went to the extreme there, I think.
There's a certain number of people that yes, are too lazy to be of any assistance, but I actually understand hampton's point; It shouldn't be our "job" to hand-hold an entire group to success. That's me playing a certain amount of devil's advocate, though. While I acknowledge hampton's right to have that point, I disagree up to a point.
I'm more than happy to help people with a tip here or there, but I can't tell you the number of times I've offered advice that was cheerfully taken, only to have said person then use me as a repository for all things WoW.
"Hey, you helped me that one time in a dungeon.. what should I roll for an alt? <I answer> mmkay, then how do I gear/gem/spec/play it?"
No.

I always love this canned answer too for these posts.
Is there some magical "guild buff" that we get that i dont know about? Some of the most painful Heroic runs I can remember were guild runs. Guildies still do stupid crap in dungeons, wipes still happen, and when doing "hard" runs (like ZA/ZG were there for a while), I would almost rather take my chances with a PuG....at least then you dont feel obligated to stay if the run is a mess.

Well sorry, but if the point of a post is to complain and moan about running with PUGs, then yes, the guild or friend run is going to be the obvious answer. And while things still happen with them, at least you know they aren't going to suddenly rage quit or run up to a boss pull it, then suddenly drop group....well most of the time.

You just have to find a good group with good healer and tank.
