My favorite moment for sure was when I had my eye of ragnaros drop, a full year after completing the hammer. i had opened a ticket the previous week, telling the GM it was my birth-day, and would he please make sacrifices to the gods of the RNG. He responded with a /wink. sadly it didnt drop that week. but I dutifully tried again, and the next week it dropped! was a great day, and the biggest feeling of achievement i have gotten from wow.
lol... this is my "epic" and one of my most memorable moment's on WoW in Uldum @Nagrand .. apparently I was the only one who thought it was cool at the time..... the guild chat in the screenshot below, shows it all lol :Phttp://img804.imageshack.us/img804/8807/wowscrnshot042011130419.jpg
My best memory in all these years I have been playing must have been on my druid in the druid only guild (horde) called Druids of the Beast. We used to guildmaster's warlock to summon everyone into stormwind(40 druids if not more, think we had like 80 atleast :D) dancing infront of the bank in stormwind. We had alot of alliance going wtf -faces it was just amazing. this wasn't only for the max lvl druids, it was lvl 70 at that time, lowbies could join aswell! one of the most entertaining nights I've had in wow, it was alot of fun and won't be forgotten easily ;)
I remember when a gunch of friends teamed up to help one guild member raise up to the top of the PvP leaderboard, back in the first days of PvP when gaining the "warlord" title was a huge achivement and required a constant effort. We raided with him in Arathi Basin like there was no tomorrow and I had really really funny moments and learned a lot about WoW and PvP :)
It's hard to choose a favorite memory, but i think mine was when i cleared Obsidian Sanctum 25 with the 3 mini bosses up and Reins of the twilight drake dropt. I'm a huge mount collector and i was totally stunned to see who would win it. Fortunately i rolled 98 and won this beautyful drake. My guildmaster left the group after 4th wipe and told me to leave too, as he said it was a bad group. Afterwards i was totally happy and told him, that it was stupid of him to leave, as he is also a mount collector. That day, i gained a mount, he hadn't obtained yet:D
I have to say my best memory with WoW is when I teached my lil' sister to play. She made her first night elf hunter back in TBC and she loved it. The first dungeon she went was Wailing Caverns. It was hilarious to hear her screaming and panicing throug skype but I told her to calm down and giving advices. Although they didn't made it to the end of the dungeon, my sister said it was awesome! To hear this after 5 or 6 wipes made me smile, since I would be rageing after that much wipes XD Today I'm playing alone with my fiancé since my lil' sister decided to quit (at least for a while) but while she visits our house, she sit and either watch me to play or she play herself. Good times!
My favourite memory of wow happened on the 14 February 2010, 23:35:08.I Decided after 6 long months, My best friend needed a present for being there for me whenever i needed help, a chat, or even helping me get into raids/dungeons, and being there for me always. I spent a good few days on planning which gift they deserved, and when to give it, what would be suitable, ect.I spoke to they're friend asking about which items would be a good idea to give as a present, and what they liked the most. He didn't know what would be good, so again i was stuck for ideas, as i wanted this item special, not something like a piece of gear which would be replaced later due to a patch or upgrade. I wanted something they would always use, something they would be proud to show off, something that they're character would have stuck to them forever, and had a special meaning because it was given from me.I then realised what would be perfect, so my grinding of 14,000gold started and ended within three days. I wanted it to be a fast unexpected surprise in time for Valentines day.I joined lots of raids, and dungeons to save up for emblems of frost to sell primordial saronites, i sold loads of ores, materials, even items from my own bank which were rare to me, but i knew they would end up going toward a good cause. I stayed up until 4am every day grinding for certain items which sold for 400g at the time, or more. A day before valentines I had around 12,000gold and it wasn't enough, i was worrying terribly that this gift wouldn't be done in time and defeat the objective of giving it on that special day, I started worrying and turned to a last resort, I asked my friend to buy me a primordial saronite, as i pretended i needed it to buy a piece of armour, and it worked. I then Sold that saronite quicker than an eye blink after advertising in trade chat a second ago. 2thousand gold was traded to me, and i now had 14thousand gold, i was so happy that i reached my goal in obtaining enough for the surprise! We then spent the day together talking about who we would be asking to be eachother's valentine. I didn't answer the question and neither did he!I waited until he logged off and went to bed that night, i also pretended i'll get an early night, but he had to go college for the next morning and wake up early. As soon as he logged off, I logged onto his account, and onto his main which was an engineer who could make the item i was aiming for. I then used the gold to buy the materials from the vendor, and even off AH. I then ran to the great forge in Ironforge and started to craft the item anywhere which was close as i was desperate for this to be made, i was so excited it felt as if i was getting the item for myself, but it was for my valentine, so it made it even more special! The item was now made, i felt like i had achieved the impossible raising such gold within a time limit which i thought was impossible.I used the item on his character, mounted him on it, placed him in the center of exodar in a circular ring of light on the floor. The next morning i told him to log onto WoW As there's a surprise for him, so after he came back from college he immediately logged on, and was currently the most happiest person playing wow, and even in real life.I had bought him a Mechigneer's chopper, AKA Mechano Hog, which i didn't even have for myself. I then said Would you be my valentine, he said yes, and Was so esthatic i can't even explain it with words on here. This made me feel so special being able to make someone so close to me happy, and i feel proud that i did this with such devotion. We are now currently engaged this very day as we get on so well, and are planning a new arrival of our tiny family member too. That Was my favourite memory of WoW. Here is a picture of the moment he logged on on his brand new mount!http://tinypic.com/r/2uysykg/7I hope the picture URL doesn't run out, so you can see it :)thanks for reading
My favorite memory was when I got my Black qiraji resonating crystal. It was awesome riding that thing into town when everybody else i saw was on a horse, it certainly got their attention. Ahh I miss the good old days!
Mine is the time I wiped the entire raid on High Astromancer Solarian. People had been failing to move out of the raid when they got Wrath on them. My vent hotkey at the time was Scroll Lock (since it's not used for anything else).I was calling out in vent that I wanted her to put the debuff on me so I could show everyone how it was done. She happily obliged me, and when I went to hit scroll lock to tell everyone to watch how pro I was, I hit Print Screen at the same time. By the time the screenshot had finished being saved, we were all a couple hundred yards up...I blamed lag at first, but after a couple days I posted the screenshot on the forums and we all had a good laugh! :X
My most memeorable monent:Back in classic wow, i had just made my first character and battled my way through the undead starter plus brill quests when i decided to go on a exploration trip, i made my way along a very long path where i came to a area with very angry bears and cats, i some how made it to tarren mill.Just as i got there i saw a very large dragon attacking the town with guards trying to fend it off, was quite a lengthy battle and me being the brave guy i am, i hid in the house where the alchemy trainer was and popped my head out now and then to see how the battle was going. After awhile the guards won and i stood next to the body, targetting it i whispered my friend 'wow this game is great!' and i have been hooked ever sincelooking back i can only guess that the dragon was the rare dragon that sometimes patrolled the river and someone had kited it there as i have never seen anything like it since.Couple of levels later i explored my way all the way to the badlands on foot and kept getting 1 shot by stealth ninja cats but, that story is for another time :)
I would have to say that my favorite memories of the game are having my two sons (11 and 13) share an account with me. Every time we would level, get a new piece of gear, or a new mount there was a hi-five or a gratz to one another. My wife would just stand there and role her eyes and say something about it being 'just a game' or try to figure out what the heck we were talking about. We started WoW over the winter, so it gave us something to do inside where it was warm. And now with Spring gone and Summer in full swing we are still at it, tempered with our favorite outdoor activities of course. I guess the game just gives us another reason to spend time together, and as for me there can never be enough of that. So thanks.
Questing in vanilla Tanaris after I bought a full set of plate gear as soon as I turned level 40 for whatever reason.
My fondest memory was when a friend and I were levling back at the start of vanilla - we went into BFD and starrted two-manning the instance not knowing it was anything special. We killed a boss and a blue dropped but neither of us could use the item so I took it and wanted to sell it on the AH. We both were heartbroken to find out they were Bind on Pickup :(But I still remember that one happening to this day!
My best memory is getting into my first raid. Right when it was available and no one knew anything about it's mechanics. (Before DBM.) Working our @sses off for hours and FINALLY killing the last boss. Feeling completely accomplished and happy that your hard work paid off so well. I feel the same from time to time on some bosses. But lately things are simple. Easy to manage. Rolling my face from = to 1 with a combination of chinning the shift button for other key binds. And also the first time I hit level 60. Only thing exciting about that now is being able to fly. And for cheep.
