My Favorite moments of World of Warcraft was the first 2 weeks the guild I was in Killed Illidan for the first 2 times. This was pre 3.0 patch nerfs and it was the only time I have ever seen the legendary swords drop. We had one of each drop those first two kills and I have yet to see them again. With that fight and all of its epic glory followed by the fantastic orangeness made those two boss deaths forever memorable and I was forever prepared.
My favorite moment in wow was when we (our guild) met up for the weekend! What a weekend!
I have many great memories in WoW over my 5 years of playing, from my first night playing, to many good times in raids and dungeons, to shenanigans with guildies. However, I'd have to say that my favorite memory is fairly recent - from the Cataclysm launch. As with every expansion, I stocked up on energy drinks and hot pockets to play nearly nonstop through the new content. From 80-84, I was just casually leveling - reading some quest text, exploring the new zones, etc. Upon reaching Twilight Highlands at 84, I saw the Realm First 85 pop, a Hunter. I decided to check how many people were level 84 with a /who 84. There were only three other people, none of which were rogues (the class of my main). I then did a /who 83 to see if I was very far ahead of the other rogues. There were no 83 rogues. At that point, I realized I had a very good chance of getting Realm First 85 Rogue. Over the next few hours, I started getting lots of people asking me how far along I was and cheering me on. It was really great hearing from long-time friends and strangers alike, encouraging me to keep going and to hurry up! One of my friends started checking in on an 84 rogue on the horde side, giving me updates and further encouraging me to hurry my ass up.After some hardcore questing over the next few hours, I did get the Realm First 85 Rogue. When that ding went off, hundreds or maybe thousands of whispers poured in over several minutes, congratulating me on my feat. It was a really great feeling. One of my guildies logged on for the first time during cata and was amazed that people had already hit 85 before he even started!I hadn't set out to achieve this, nor had I done anything on the cata beta. It surprising and awesome! It was a really great time that will live on in my memory for a long time to come.
My favorite memory from World of Warcraft was a little bit of world PvP I was in during Burning Crusade. A group of five or so Alliance were attacking the Crossroads, and a few random people and myself went out to help. We fought for a half hour or so at the Crossroads, one side pushing the other back and forth with NPC's running around like mad, trying to spawn in hidden areas so we could heal fast and get back in the fight- it was madness. We eventually pushed them all the way down to Rachet, but the fight didn't end there.A group of them slipped past us and ran towards Camp Taurajo. We chased them all the way across the Barrens, killing them and chasing them when they respawned and mounted to run, all the way into Mulgore, through Bloodhoof Village, and to the west side of Thunder Bluff. They finally managed to get to an elevated area and use their hearthstones to retreat, but not before a friendly /bye. The group of people I had been fighting with were all part of the same guild, and they invited me to join them while we were talking after our battle. I ended up raiding with them throughout all of Burning Crusade, all the way up to the Black Temple and the Sunwell.
Completing "Master Angler of Azeroth">"One That Didn't Get Away">"Accomplished Angler" all way back in 2009..It also took me almost two years to get and I couldn't believe when I finally got it.Reward trinket is still my favorite; and getting "Salty" title is the best WoW memory ever!Got a lot of helpful tips on Wowhead how to reach for this and many other achievments. Happy 5th Anniversary=)
My favorite memory of World of Warcraft is that I have since my eighth played I was always a fun game sometimes in WoW i need to start over again Because of the bug in the stormwind and orgrimmer but That was just fun i learned new races and new classes and it is funny because i met someane with in the real world That plays to it That was really awesome. Wow RoCkS!greetz ^ ^
My favorite memory from World of Warcraft was logging on my orc warrior for the first time. I didn't know what I was doing, but I knew once I had entered the game I was experiencing something special. I remember my friend randomly picked the server I am now still on, and have never left. Learning all the controls for the first time, learning how to attack, and even earning my first gold, was something truly awesome, and I'll never forget it.
My favorite memory of WOW was running my first top level dungeon, 80 Resto Druid, with my husband. No one died and we took everything in the dungeon down, At the end my husband commented, Great Heals. I was so proud, and no one else in the group knew it was my first time, until my husband told them, after they all commented that the heals were very good. GRIN!
My favourite and most long-standing memory from WoW, is the first time I saw Sylvanas Windrunner in The Undercity.I had just made my first Blood Elf back when Burning Crusade was fresh and new, and was questing through the Ghostlands, when I killed a mob that dropped the necklace which starts the quest. I opened it up and thought nothing of it; travelled to The Undercity after a while to deliver it and get it done.I made my way into the city, and wound down the hallway to her throne room, and saw her. Back then, she was wearing that long black robe and hood, and just seemed so mysterious. Anyways, I handed the necklace over to her, and she responded in her (now) usual non-caring manner. What came after was what got me; the first time I got to watch and listen to her sing The Lament of the Highborne. It was so cool to watch all the banshees come to her side and sing with her, grieving over her dead sister.Every time I make a Horde-side character, I always make sure to grab the necklace and deliver it, so I can watch the scene again and again.tl:dr: I love Sylvanas.
My favorite thing in wow was when i first played it and i really sucked. I would try to read the shrine of dath remar and the tree things would kick to a living pulp and remembering this as i run around on my hunter doing raids and not failing like i did when i first started to play this game makes me laugh at how much of a noob i was when i first started. And first began playing when WOTLK came out. :) When the starting area's animals and stuff could aggro and they aggroed when you got near them. I really hope that made sense. O.O Thank you! :)
