I have to say the rush we made in order to down the Lich King, was the final attempt we were going to do, and Cata was coming out in the next few days. Everybody is dog tired, we're spread throughout the US, so for some of us it was about 4am. Everything just fell together, it was that one pull that nothing went wrong, everybody survived, everybody was where they needed to be, everything went off without a hitch, and after 3 weeks of trying (and wiping), we had the perfect pull, just a few days before cataclysm, and before our rivals on the other side were able to accomplish the same thing.
Probably my favorite memory is when I was a fresh level 80 and I engaged in my first defense of a small town against a Horde player. My main is a Draenei Hunter, but I was leveling another draenei when I encountered a troll DK (level ?) killing the NPCs in Azure Watch, denying me my quest turn-ins. So, I hoped on with Solarknight, headed to Azure Watch (portals made it quick, of course) and attacked the level 78 DK. I never did much PvP at that point, but I figured I could take a level 78 with ease.He stomped me in seconds. On my way back to my corpse, I really had to own up to my own failure. I was a PvP rookie, didn't know much about DKs other than what my level 58 DK alt could do, and really didn't have to think too hard about hunter tactics while leveling through quests and dungeons. But I am a quick learner.I knew that he would do Death Grip on me right off the bat, so I sent my pet in to attack first, giving me a sec or two of an advantage. Then he Death Griped me, in which I immediately dropped an Ice Trap and then Disengaged. It was over for him in just a couple seconds.I felt that I had saved Azure Watch from being terrorized by the Horde. I was on cloud nine for a few days afterwords.
First raid in Molten Core way back in the day. WoW was my first MMO so I've never done something like that before, a huge 40 member raid killing giant monsters and bosses. I'm not even talking about killing a boss, just going in there for the first time and killing trash mobs was an experience unlike any other game I've played before.
My favourite moment in WoW was when i explored the amazing world of warcraft for the first time!
One time, my raid in Black Temple went smoothly as well until that rooms full of weaker npcs. They did MC some 85lv and killed other lowie players, but IT kept mc us until only three players alive and finally killed all npcs that mc us. that was good memory =POther time, in Pit of Sauron, last year or so. One dk need the ax from last boss but that player have to leave. as we killed last boss, it dropped that ax what the dk need but too late.
I very much remember finally completing my full "Set" for my Druid in Vanilla WoW... As a Moonkin, I had what I would consider almost perfect gear. When I finally got my Maexxna's Robe about a month and a few days before the next expansion, I was giddy as heck. I proceeded to hit Warsong Gulch with it, one shot a mage, then got camped the rest of the game... I didn't realize that it was a former high warlord I nuked. They weren't happy with me. <.<
My favorite memory was when i made my first character, becouse i had everything to look forward to and it was gonna be a epic journey.
Walking in to Darnassus for the first time. Back in vanilla I leveled a druid and eventually got her to 60 but that first time walking into the gates of darnassus just blew my mind. The combination of the music and the scenery just screamed epic to me... and I knew I was hooked :)
I remember leveling my first character in Vanilla (UD Warrior) from 40-48 by grinding those Black Dragonflight Whelps in Lethlor Ravine to try and get a Dark Whelpling. Even through those 8 levels, I never got one to drop. I came back later when I was 60 and got one to drop in 6 kills. I was so stumped. Not to mention my GF leveled her Shaman in Swamp of Sorrows for a few levels grinding the Dreaming Whelps and got 2 Tiny Emerald Whelplings within an hour of each other. She gave me the 2nd one, and it's still my favorite pet on my Warrior. It's amazing to think that this all happened 5 years ago. Sheesh.
My favorite memory was when I joined my first major guild. I made friends there that I still play with today through all of our server transfers and faction changes. It was a blast learning to raid ZG and MC back in the days of vanilla.
Oh man.. my favorite memory is when my guild and I were trying to beat the Eye of Eternity dungeon, around when it first came out. After being wiped several times since we weren't used to it yet, before a next attempt, we decided to relieve some of the stress and goof off a bit. Over Ventrillo I blasted the MarioKart song Baby Park, and we all mounted up and started running around in a big circle on the blue platform like a bunch of giddy dorks! It was hilarous and it got us all hyper and revved up to take on Malygos again! xD
My favorite memory in the game would have to be getting my warlock to level 60 back in classic. It was my first 60 and it took 6 months to get there. It was exciting because I was finally max level and starting getting some gear. I had no idea what I was doing but it was a blast. I still play my warlock to this day, it will always be my favorite character.
In 4.2 I am looking forward to getting the "vanity" druid staff. I, as a druid myself, would love to see a change in pace for what our forms look like while advancing from tier to tier. I just wish it would affect all forms and not just cat as I tank sometimes. My favorite moment in WoW was when I was over at a friends house and I was playing a tauren shaman in Alterac Valley, this was back in Vanilla when BGs were just becoming popular on my server. So there I was in AV at level 60 grinding honor to get the next title, I think it was Centurion at the time, and we were trading on and off between BGs so we wouldn't lose any ranking for the next day, and I swear, I had over 70 kills and I ended up ranking up the next day. It was so long that we started switching off between deaths because we were young and wanted to have a fair amount of playing time each. It was so fun. The AV started when it was dark outside and when it ended it was sometime around noon.
