My favorite memory has to be progressing through Ulduar. I was fresh and still in noob mode. The first time I downed flame leviathan I was a driver, so excited and nervous that i was shaking. The computer i had to play at the time got so hot you could cook eggs on it and the frame rate was at around 7-10 on low. My first peice of T8 was off Hodir. I got 2 pieces of loot from him that day. Leggings of the Wayward Vanquisher and Stormedge I was so excited i almost feinted. These days are my favorite memory because I was so amazed by raids and excited to be a part of them.
My favourite memory has to be coming into Howling Fjord for the first time. I remember the guy who I had gone through Outlands with /whispering me that we could go to Northrend now, and I hopped on the Zeppelin to Vengeance Landing. I remember the drastic change from the red wastleand of Hellfire Peninsula to the awe-inspiring, wind chilled Fjord. Seeing the Vrykul settlements, meeting the Kalu'ak, observing the wildlife who struggled in the snowy environment, fighting the undead Scourge and being ROFLstomped by the Storm Giants. To this day, Howling Fjord has been one of my favourite zones in all of Azeroth and Outlands, and beyond. I'll never forget the time when my trusty bear druid companion and I slew the marauding Alliance on the beaches, fighting the sharks in the water, and when a green two-hander sword dropped from a mob, and beat my Outlands weapon by leaps and bounds.Northrend is, without a doubt, the best continent in World of Warcraft, and it will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Winning the STV fishing tournament back in the day. Involved the help of the guild, and friends on both sides. Was very proud of my hook of the master angler
I have too many.Good luck for all the rest!
Favorite memory ? Hands down, first time I logged in, the sparkle in my eyes, the thrill in my heart, the anxiousness in my hands... goodbye RL !
My favorite memory of WoW was making about 6 trial accounts, a new one after the last ended, because my allowance couldn't pay for the subscription. I would make a warlock every time, each time trying to get to level 12 as fast as possible before the trial ended because I wanted a Voidwalker so bad. I remember going to Orgrimmar for the first time and feeling intimidated by all the level 70s and thought they were so cool thinking about all the time they must have spent questing. I still miss those days because everything was so new to me, there were so many things to learn. I was 14 at the time lol
Favourite memory was pre-BC event when Doomlord Kazak was routinely attacking Ironforge and hoards of players were frantically trying to down him... I was bout level 30ish then, keep getting killed and can't do much to be honest, but it's fun watching lotsa players interacting with the environment together :D
I'd have to go with my first ever raid. It was a full clear of Kara. When we got to Prince, will the RL was organizing things, I'm a rogue, so all I thought I had to do was staby-stab, I stealthed up to him and throw a snowball at him, and, as I didn't know it would drop me out of stealth, I pulled him. Thankfully, everyone else was in the doorway, so I was the only one who died. When everyone asked what happened, I meekly said that 'It's seems he doesn't like snowballs'.
Definitely my first time in 25man Naxx during Wrath. The group was a bunch of guildies that had only done 10m Naxx a few times, so we weren't really prepared. After struggling for a few hours we made it past the first two bosses, we made it to Maexxna. We were doing ok until we left one of the healers wrapped up in a web out of range of the tank. The raid group decided to try to burn her down anyway, so we popped all of our cd's and watched her health go down... 10%.. 9%.. all the way down to 1%. We all died and caught a glimpse at what Maexxna had left. 32 health. The vent went silent with everyone speechless. After about 10 seconds it erupted with exclamations of how people felt about the wipe. The reason this is my favorite moment is the pure ridiculousness of wiping on a 25m boss with 32 health. We cleared her on the second try =)
My favorite moment in World of Warcraft was getting my charger back at level60. It took such a huge amount of effort getting that quest line done, as well as paying up bucketloads of gold for it too. Too bad they removed the quest line, it was so epic. :(
I have played on and off since vanilla. My favorite memory of WoW is my first Elwynn/Westfall quest loop, ending with the deadmines. It felt so epic to down VanCleef. I loved the music the scenery and the feel of the Westfall/Elwynn area so much no matter what race I am playing as now-a-days, I still like to visit. Am I a little disappointed that the zone and dungeon changed a bit in cataclysm, yes, but my memories of that first crawl through the Deadmines, before the days of helpful plugins ;), and the multiple wipes and the multiple ARRRGGHHHS in chat....it was so fun!
I have two favorites.... first one being reaching level 85! I started WOW at the end of March. My husband has been playing for years and this was something we could do together. If it wasn't for Wowhead, I would still be working to get there. I believe in working smarter, not harder and this website definitely allows you to do that! My second favorite moment was FINALLY grinding enough rep with the Wyrmrest Accord to buy my red drake..... on another note, my husband decided he might want a drake, we ran a raid 10 minutes later, and of course he won it! I was a little ticked that he got it so easily, but it did make me giggle! Thanks for all the hard work you guys do, it definitely makes a difference to all of us, but especially those of us who are still learning this game! You guys are much appreciated!
My favoite memory of WoW was when I and some of my friends were doing The Black Temple, I am very interested in Warcraft Lore so I was very serious that very moment, I was sad with Akama I was sad with Maiev and I was hateful against Illidan, we fought long and well against him and his defenders. When he finally died, it was a strong feeling inside me, like I was uphelding WoW as it should be. WoWis a game where you are the player it feels to me like that.
My favorite memory of WoW is the night The Burning Crusade came out. I had played WoW for only less then a year at the time and had just gotten into the raiding scene. From the standing in line at midnight to staying up all night with guildies, it was such an awesome experience. A whole new world to explore, new spells, flying mounts. It was the first and last expansion that I really enjoyed the whole experience from leveling as a semi-noob to cranking out countless hours as a core raider.
