Try switching the food from the store and the food from your house so she eats the chicken your family grew while thinking it was from the store. After doing that a few times tell her it was from your house, that should at least counter her whole it's edible and safe to eat arguement.
Using shock tactics might not be a good approach. Especially when she is not the brightest person. Unless he would want her to hate him.

Tell her to become a
fruitarian
or STFU.
Fruitarians will eat only what falls (or would fall) naturally from a plant; that is: foods that can be harvested without killing the plant.

Now a days might as well be; pretty much everyone else uses store produced stuff; either from the feed or from what they spray on it to deal with insects, molds and other infections.
Maybe applies to America, Adams, but there is a whole lot of other countries. I have people in my own family (even though slightly distant family) that grow a majority of the feeding for their animals themselves.
It doesn't, you just need to know where to look. We frequently go upstate to a farm where you see the animals you eat as they grow up. We had this adorable little lamb coming into the house, just like a dog. It was the cutest thing.

No such thing as non-hormonal growth meat now a days, unless you live out in the back end of no where on an Amish farm.
Hahaha. That's not exactly true. Now what would be a correct statement is that a
majority
(and I do mean a great majority) of the meat come from animals that have taken growth hormones. She's 32, she has a BA in English and currently a teacher at a Middle School. If she was a kid, I wouldn't really care what she felt. but DAMN.
Seriously?
Wow that's a serious lapse of logic.

even if your chicken/cow is normally raised, the food you give to her is tainted
even if you give her organic veggies
since organic veggies grow on tainted soil/tainted weather/etc even if they aren't genetically engineered
you could stop pretending growing your own meat is better than buying from the store
and she could come to her senses and realize people have been killing animals for food since the start of hutning and its normal
problem solved

Nope. I am nothing but a carnivore getting what I want to put in my stomach, whenever I want. I am a ape in the natural, and whatever I see or do, I will do it in a way that pleases me the most. When I get the craving for steak, I go to the buffet and eat all the steak that I can. I glorify myself in gluttony. I'll admit it. I don't like hypocrypts. I would understand her point even more if she was a straight up vegetarian and I'll give her all the respect in the world, but she's not. That's where the problem lies.
Now that you mention it, I do believe in some things that don't make sense. I am starting to adjust to accept gays for what they believe in and do. Back in the day, I detested gays and gay marriage, but I can say now that I welcome it freely like Mexicans crossing our border in search of a better life. Although, if I do see a man holding another man's hand, I will instinctively feel awkward and face the other way. I won't say anything though.
I also used to defend Christianity to the core, but as time passes by and I grow older, I am starting to realize I am a agnostic. Although being a agnostic, I am still undecided. So I unrationally choose Jesus Christ for the sake that I feel the most comfortable with him. I will not trash other religions or force anyone to join mine. I realize that mine is just as a bad as the other ones.
I also have no respect for bugs. Although harmless, if I see them in my house, I will kill them on the spot.
I'll think of more in the future.

My religiodar never fails.
On topic: Tell her that she's free to live her life however she chooses, but if her family wants to eat chickens from home, she should respect their decision just as much as her decision to eat chicken from the store. You don't even need to argue about how illogical that is, just point out that criticism works both ways, and if she wants to be respected for her poultry decisions, she should respect others for theirs.

I think there is a psychological problem in middle of this riddle, face. I mean, come on, look at this:
1) It's wrong to kill animals for food. It's better to buy the meat at the store.
2) It is healthier to buy the meat from the grocery store because the meat has been clean, sprayed and regulated. Therefore, it is edible and safe to eat.
I think I'm not the only one who believes those arguments are...baseless and I really do think that she may suffer from a psychological problem that might affect her in the way that she can't eat home-killed animals, and that's why she gives any kind of explanation to not do so. Maybe your parents killed an animal she liked or she can't stand the fact to have seen an animal being butchered, so she doesn't want her house to become a butchery...I don't know.
Did you seriously ask her if those were the very real reasons why she doesn't want that? If I were you, I would insist on her that those are seriously no true argumentations. Specially the first one.
EDIT: Also face...you spelled "like" correctly on your signature.

It might be a proximity thing, like it's easier for her to process and acclimatise herself to the idea of an animal dying for her food if she never has to have any associations with it.

Also, synth-meat is on the way in apparently:

I'm pretty sure an animal was still killed or harmed or somehow maimed etc. to get that to begin with, no?

I was reading that when I read...
‘Cultured meat could potentially be produced with up to 96% lower greenhouse gas emissions, 45% less energy, 99% lower land use, and 96% lower water use than conventional meat.
...and then I said to myself: "HOLY COW, BATMAN!"
