i would start as arms and then dual spec into prot when you can. rend is ridiculous at low levels.

Prot. Totally prot. I'm topping damage meters even at 60 (full heirlooms except the ring, admittedly) and the only class/spec that has ever been close to me while dungeon leveling was a prot paladin who couldn't figure out his ret rotation somewhere in the early 50s. The instant queues mean I don't have time to quest or level professions, except maybe for skinning in dungeons where beasts are found.
What's more is that Prot feels invincible. I pulled 7 of the level 61-62 dudes (by accident) on the Path of Glory in Hellfire Peninsula at level 59 and survived without any bandages or health potions. Victory Rush is insane healing for fighting against multiple mobs. Keep up shield block, glyph Cleave, Revenge when it procs, Thunderclap on CD, Inner Rage for Cleave spam, and blow Last Stand and Shield Wall if you think you're outmatched. Of course that all comes when you gain the abilities at their levels, but Victory Rush you get early and it's the key to your invincibility.
I plan to go Fury at 69 simply because of Titan's Grip. It's the whole reason I rolled a warrior. Nothing is quite as visually intimidating as a bastion of steel plate dual wielding 2
Dark Edge of Insanity
. Seriously. Check the screen shot.

Threadstarter, please check out other "levelling" threads before you actually start another same topic at hand.
Arms for solo levelling. Prot for dungeon levlling.
And TheRealArkayn, there isn't much area where you can aoe-level already, compared to TBC and Vanilla.
