I am a big fan of Mount Hyjal zone background music. It is just made for Cataclysm.
Its hard to me say wich my favorite zone on world of warcraft i play since AQ40 opening and i never stoped of playing .Alls zones are goods and have your proper chalenge ,quests and roleplay ,many zones have musics many beatifull if i choose one zone i prefer winterspring before cataclysm because the music, atmosfere and grafics are many beatifull to see the quest line is many good too and thats elites in frostwisper gorge are many chaleging to kill.
I think Blasted Lands has to be my favourite. Even better since The Shattering and there's actually some real questing to be had there, but it was always the one zone that I felt truly reflected everything that had happened there. It was also 'home' to the most epic quest chain I ever stumbled onto - from Fallen Hero of the Horde to Razelikh the Defiler, what a ride!
Uldum is the coolest, the whole Egyptian theme is awesome
When TBC came out I instantly fell head over heels for Zangarmarsh - all my friends who played thought I was crazy and hated the place, but the atmosphere and aesthetics are fabulous to me. Giant glowy shrooms and fairy dusty glittery stuff hanging in the air.. the overall colorscheme is spot on. I love it!
Favorite Zone has to be Wildhammer Zone in Highlands. For the Drunken dwarfs. The Wild beer run to the other fun, but funny quest. The music and outrages attitude there. So I guess it the NPS and what you can do there in highland that makes it a fun went funny zone.
My favourite zone has to be Ashenvale.Ashenvale because the look of the zone is very serene and the music and ambience sounds are amazing and very relaxing. It reminds me of a movie I watched as a kid called Legend. The wisps floating around and the ambience sounds that compliment them really does remind me of this movie and brings back some memories :)Azuremyst Isle is a very close second as the music there is amazing but it just doesn't quite top Ashenvale :) However I really recommend that any Horde players considering levelling an alliance charater give both those zones a try.
This is a tough question... Many areas have sparked my interest, some I liked more, some less. If you were to ask which zone feels more important to me, that should be Feralas.Less than a year ago, when I was still a newbie at World of Warcraft, I was following my guild's advice in where to go and what to do. At some point, when I was done with a zone (can't remember which) I had to find a new one. However, none of my guild members were online at that time. I could either wait or chooce an area and go. I randomly chose Feralas. The moment I entered the area, I was at a loss of words. A grand forest that actually gave you the impression that you WERE in a tropical forest. Fascinated by the scenery, I took a look at the area mobs. There were all at a higher level than me, about 3-4 levels difference. It was the very first time I decided to really test my skills and ignore the levels. So on I went.I reached the camp fairly easily and I set my Hearthstone there (which remained my home for many levels to come, despite the fact that if I wanted to visit a city I would pay a large toll to get there) picked a few quests and I stormed Feralas. After a while, yet another surprise was waiting to ambush me! Two large rocks that each had a water fall! Absolutely stunning. When I finished my quests in Ferals and had to move to another area to level, I was feeling down. So yeah, my favorite zone should be Feralas.
Despite complaints, I actually really enjoy Hellfire Peninsula from the BC starter area! I thought the quests streamlined well, were fun in the days before everyone had a flying mount, and you actually got several blues that were (at the time anyway) quite powerful.
Terrokar Forest for me. It has such a fairy tale feel to it with the giant mushrooms and I love the colors there. Besides its where I got my first rare companion pet , the firefly, and drove all my friends nuts by keeping it instead of selling it. They still moan about the the gold I gave up.
There are many zones to like in WoW Outland was very nice with all its random zones but my favorite zone so far is Vashj'ir.Alot of players I talked to hated it but I loved it the eerie atmosphere of being under the ocean never knowing what could happen what lurks just a few feet beyond your eye sight in the dark and the worry you might accident swim upon the whale shark and be eaten is always in the back of your mind. Vashj'ir gives me a sense of wonder and anticipation I do not know what I will run into out here even though Ive been all over and done every quest in the zone. The quests were most enjoyable to following the storyline of the Highborne and how they became Naga and the strange quiet of Vashj'ir gives anyone there a strange sense of peace but also apprehension while swimming through its depths.Anyone with a sea turtle mount from Northrend should also enjoy Vashj'ir with the swim speed buff from the turtle and the Earthen Ring you move twice as fast, truly an enjoyable zone and quest chain.
