my fav zone is azshara. beautiful creatures and great lore.
My favorite zone definitely has to be Sholazar Basin. From the Nesegwary quest line awesome oracle faction, the zone just began to grow on me. It is just so much fun to fly around and look down at the landscapes and all of the different creatures. I have also probably spent the most time there from endless mining of saronite and the multiple day searches for the elusive Loque' nehak, which to this day I have still never tamed.
The barrens because I'm a chatter box.
For me it is a tie between Sholazar Basin and Vashj'ir. Sholazar had so many fun quests and it was a fantastic place to farm during Wrath, not to mention it's pretty as well. Vashj'ir I love because it is so very unique, not to mention extremely beautiful in some areas!
Probably Molten core, oddly enough. You really felt like you were deep within the bowels of the earth, hunting ancient and powerful things... and then you saw Rag's chamber, including rag himself, and you KNEW something big was there :D
Shozlar Basin, Because its green :) got mastery quests and has the sickest looking pet can be found there :) http://www.infobarrel.com/media/image/38552.png and well its wow so its AMAZING
My favourite zone has to be Nagrand, it's one of the few places in WoW I would describe as a beautiful place to be, from the wildlife to the music it has been my favourite zone since leveling there back in '07. From hunting with Hemet Nesingwary like I did in STV to doing the odd PvP in Halaa, it's a zone with a lot to offer.
My favorite area is Trisfal Glades, the dark spooky feeling you get as a low-leveled character is paramount to any other zone. The feeling alone made me want to play WOW.
Well, i have 2 favorites zones, one from the classic and one from Cataclysm. From vanilla my favorite is Silithus because of all the desert looking thingys and the questlines. Back in the days, when we would bust our asses out to get those epic rings and weapons from those guys at the Cenarion Hold. Good times. And never forget its the home of the enigmatic Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker YES YOU HEARD ME Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker ;D I also love the architecture of the olddie Ahn'Qiraj, both the ruins and the temple! The entrance is just awsome.. Pretty harcore stuff :)Now, in Cataclysm days i really liked Deepholm, because of how magic and let's say 'heavy' the envyronment and scenario are.. all the suspended destroyed buildings and rocks and of course the way to enter in Deepholm is very creative and filled with lore. The architecture of the Temple of Earth is great and the quest line leading to the always beautiful Therazane is awsome with lots of lore material. Blizzard put a lot of effort in this zone.. Well i can say that every zone in Azeroth and Outlands has at least one thing that makes them unique and fun to play wherever it is we're doing in there XD
I really, REALLY love the new Silverpine quests. The way the quests link together is almost cinematic and I loved the chance to work with Sylvanas.
I love the facelift Stonetalon Mountains got in the expansion. I can't speak for the Alliance's perspective, but the Horde side really makes you feel like a soldier, like the war is real. The story arc also revealed a side of Garrosh Hellscream I had not yet seen, which impressed me.
I have to say that my favorite zone is still Nagrand, in the southeastern reaches of Outland. As the cradle of Draenic and Orcish civilization, Warcraft lore runs deeply. Familiar names such as Bonechewer and Burning Blade go back as far into Orc lore as Warcraft 2. Also, the city of Halaa was at one time, a thriving center of outdoor PvP activity, one which allowed you to drop bombs on other players. I really can't think of anything more entertaining than that. While completing the myriad of diverse and interesting quests including the memorable Ring of Blood, Nagrand's gorgeous scenery is impossible to ignore. I could fly around on my flying mount for an hour here, just taking in the views. Water fall and tree adorned islands in the sky, an enormous crystal the likes of which have never been seen, and lush grasslands make Nagrand a one-of-a-kind zone on an otherwise desolate and fractured planet.
