My favorite tier set would be the warlocks tier 6, recently i've been farming Mount Hyjal, Black Temple and Sunwell Plateau
I liked the last tier of priest gear in Burning crusade (tier 6) It was the best looking set in my opinion and has all of the slot pieces like the original wow sets. I miss 8 piece gear sets :(
My favorite would have to be the tier 5 priest. It came out when I first started raiding and I always loved the look of it. I adored the blue and gold coloration and the wings are so awesome looking. :)
Mages tier 6, gotta love the look of it
What I truly love about most of the tier sets, no matter the class, is that they pay homage to the heroes of this world. There is an empowering feeling knowing you don gear that highlights the strength of a hero. Every piece a blessing to keep doing what you're doing.I would have to say my all-time favorite set is the Cenarion T1. A crown of antlers represent the wise but fierce Stag, the shelter and comfort from leaves of the forest a shroud around my shoulders. The colors of this set draw upon that which has suffered the most yet is still resilient after so many wars, the earth.
I'm with Jezreel88; Tier 6 Raid Set. The whole set looked good (except on gnomes, of course!) but specifically for the lid. Those wings are über-epic.=) Pity I never got it. =(
I like warlocks arena season tier 1 set (Gladiator's Felshroud) because of the darkness, and mystick is realy cool.
I would have to say that Death Knight Tier 10 was my favorite. It captured the feeling of being a lord of the scourge. The asymmetrical shoulders were also unique and very cool looking.
While both Sanctified Lightsworn (Heroic T10/"the purple one) and Conqueror's Aegis (25m T8) both really quite grew on me (and had helms I actually wore!) and of course Judgement is the stereotypical and of course still awesome pally answer, I have to say that Lightbringer is my "true" favorite. Black Temple was my first "serious" guild raiding, and then shortly after starting that I got tossed into Sunwell face-first. And guess what? It was amazing. When I think back about my time with WoW those are still some of the most prominent memories. And 8 pc tier! Frustrating at times, but still so very epic to actually complete. Boyfriend at the time played a priest (another great looking T6 set) and I remember him finishing his. It was an accomplishment. And the set itself? I didn't even mind that it was stupid purple (something Blizzard pulled off again with T10 and sort of with T8) just because of those shoulders. The crown was also very cool, but those shoulders were absolutely tops. You saw that item icon and you knew exactly what awesome you were getting. People didn't even notice the little details (the two shoulders are different, go and see!) and they still just looked good. And with wings? Priceless.
Mage Tier 2 will always be my favorite. It was a time when epics were still epic and 40 mans were the norm, plus it had floating balls of arcane awesomeness.
My favourite set is Mage T5, because it defines the omnipotent magic wielders perfectly with its simplistic design and overall feel of wizardry. It was also gathered from two of the best raids ever made - Serpentshrine Cavern and the Tempest Keep.
