I personally liked the Hunter T2 with a female night elf. It just looked perfect in style, with the right size of the spaulders, the head, the chest and the legs. Just a perfect battlesuit. Never saw such a great looking set since then.

Druid Tier 7- the purple / bronze version worked well with each other. Somewhat disappointing having to upgrade it.
I just love the Warrior Tier 6 set, Just looks so.. so.. Warrior-like. Onslaught Battlegear
I have not read all 232 pages of comments and i guess it was mentioned hundred times before, but my favorite gearset is, was, and probably ever will be the Paladins T2-Set. Though a real warrior of the holy light doesn't need to be hidden behind a mask, but the setlooks realy badass. You won't argue with a man (or woman) who looks like Judge Dredd on steroids.
my absolut favorite tier is tier 2 of paladins (judgement) still the best looking tier in World of Warcraft a dwarf paladin with tier 2 and sulfuras hand of ragnaros is the most pride full player ever . its so nostalic to se a paladin with tier 2 walking down the trade district in Stormwind. And on secound place we have ofc T8 of priest that 1 is the most who looks the hardest on the priestess thats the 2 i love the most :) and also a big + to the T12 who is coming so exited :D
My favourite armor set is priests tear 6 armor, beacauce it was best raiding armor when i started to play, and i was like omfg i want this. was so happy when got full set <3
definitely t12 paladin set. reminds me of "savior" from devil may cry 4. with that halo and holy fire on his chest, really looks like a warrior of light. good job blizz. ps why is t12 for priest looking like his heed is sticking out of a toilet?
For me the original tier 2 was amazing. Back then before "looks had become everything" it still could hold its own with its perfect all blood red look.It took me countless weeks wiping and a further few more weeks crossing my finger on drops, The final feeling on right clicking on the 8th set piece and equip-ting it felt so good.
Warlock Tier 5 just looked great :)
Druid tier 8 is my choice. To me it fit the Druid well and it made the male models look big and not all small and weak.
My favorite Tier set was Warlock Tier 8. Not only did it look great, and have a part in several sections of WoW lore throughout WotLK, but it had historical value as well. I first fell in love with the design after watching the Wrathgate Cinematic. Most of my favorite quotes in the cinematic come from the Putridess, such as: Now, ALL can see. This... Is the hour... Of the Forsaken. While browsing Wowhead, I found out from user comments that the design was inspired by Black Death doctor's masks used in the Middle Ages. I tried throughout patch 3.1 to get the full set, but the Shoulders eluded me. Regardless, the set was and still is my favorite design.
I have a lot of favorite Tier sets depending on which class you're talking about. For warriors the best ever was the T3 Dreadnaught's Battlegear Dreadnaught's Battlegear. The glowing skulls on the shoulders and shins, the horns on the helm, and the glow effect it did on the character's eyes. It all worked together so well. It looked like Hell on Azeroth had come. It looked like something a warrior would wear. It was not overly bulky and flashy like the later sets. It had the appearance of strength and durability that many of the later versions do not.For warlocks, was there anything more creepy, dark, and foreboding as the T8 Conqueror's Deathbringer Garb Conqueror's Deathbringer Garb? The helm hides gives a sort of dead bird-like appearance hiding the eyes altogether. The black feathers on the shoulders conjure up thoughts of how many stories feature crows as "bringers of ill will".
http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=701#I really liked how Merciless Gladiator's Battlegear looked.
My favorite is the Destroyer Battlegear. There was nothing that could beat the nuclear bat wings for a warrior image. If wow had function to keep the look of your armor through upgrades, my warrior would still have those shoulders. The helm grows on you, but most of all the shoulders was the best.
