Ugly, gorgeous or whatever - It was/is my favourite if I can win it/earn it or buy it.
Warlock T4, the helm was too cool, as was the theme.

My favourite set so far has been the Conqueror's Darkruned set from Ulduar, because it was the first set that gave me a really strong Death Knight vibe. Albeit, the black lookalike non-set from Ulduar 25 is just that much cooler.
Tier 12 Just by looking at what is to come I run with a pally Prot Spec as my main and it looks amazing, I really like the hood design its got the dont mess with me look to it, the shoulders look amazing with razor like curvy spikes, The floating horseshoe type thing behind the helm just brilliant. I think for once Blizzard is doing it right for the pally. :)
Absolution Regalia, Priest T6. Just the looks of it is amazing, really felt like a nice outfit to wear on my priest. Bloodfang is a close runner up as it also looks awesome.
With so many sets to choose from , narrowing down a favourite can be quite hard. But if i were to pick any one set that made me go WOW, it would have to be the skyshatter tier 6 shaman set. The colors match well with Burning Crusades focus on lightning based attacks and In my opinion its the only shaman set that makes the kilt seem alot more "heroic"
Withouth a doubth Judgement Armor T2 pally set.Even though it has a skirt(other plate wearers are just not manly enough to wear them)it actualy made a pally look like a knight in shiny armor, since their entire point is to help and protect.
just looks-wise its lock t5 i mean how do u beat skulls impaled on spikes? However the best tier piece ever and the single most awesome item in the game is the warlock tier 6 helm. its been said many times on this thread and every time truthfully that this piece simply kicks more ass than anything ever will.
Bloodfang Armor set, as well as 8-9p sets are better than the current\TBC\WotLK. First - they have additioal set bonus, which could be the reward for real farmers and collectors. They also make whole picture of the set, unlike current 5-piece sets with off-sets look like cross-class. And finally, not sure how it was back then, but class-bound set might give exactly needed stats, making reforging less nececssary. The current system of tier, where you get 3 freeware pieces(2 really free if lucky) and two from endgame bosses is a step from nothing to everything. Or is a farm-fest since 4.1. Probably making 8p sets would require too much loot-chages, but really, why cant Al'akir, Ascendant Council, and maybe Chim\Atra\Maloriak drop bracers\belt\boots? Current 12 boss system limits the gear options to minimal(tanks dont even have 372 cloak!), adding class-based loot would allow more loot options. Althought ICC's 251-277 gear range was really madness, it didnt have such issues of gearpicks. Ok, enough off-topic: GIVE US 8P SETS BACK!
Hunter Tier 8.Mostly because of the grungy look it had going on.Reminds me of a less civilized hunter like you'd find in the wilderness of siberia.
Paladin Tier 5... I thought it was impossible to make blood elf paladins look even more gay. This proves me wrong Crystalforge Armor
Paladin Tier 6 is my favourite, since I play a paladin and this tier level made me feel like a real paladin with the shoulders radiating light and all.
I'm gonna have to go with hunter T2. Something about the purple and orange just takes me back to farming Molten Core and Blackwing Lair.
