I don't get it.
On another hand, I'm trying to design a new Zelda OC for a sort of a century-post TP 'adventure' with another Link descendent. Unfortunately, I'm sort of at a blank for an original hairstyle I haven't used before for a girl. :( Anybody have any ideas?
Either short crop, or have it as a copy of the famous Link? Since long hair on a Zelda hero is a bad idea considering the amount of things that try to grab hold of you during the games heh.

I don't get it.
The comparison between Al and Hyper vs. Phillip and Snowmane? It does get a little unnerving when you really start inspecting it.
Especially comparing Hyper and Snowmane.... Granted, Phillip would probably %^&* bricks if he saw Balefire....

WoT, ofc.
I've said many times I only finished the first book...
Oh.
You should keep reading!
I thought you'd mentioned that you were on book 4, for some reason >.>

Eh, didn't mean a direct copy of Link, just one of his many many hairstyles...if she knows about him of course.

Well what do you expect? It is one of the earliest known pieces of written work.

I still don't get it, considering I know nothing about either of them.
Okay:
Snowmane is a (I believe) artificially aged second-generation worgen mage with an incredible gift for magic roleplayed by Skree. She has had an extremely tortured life which landed her as a rich, drunken, bitter loon... more or less...
Phillip is a Forsaken of Dalaran descent who, while leading a less-than pleasant life, has had it fairly easy in death overall. He is obsessed with the idea of curing undeath.
In Aftermath, they ended up meeting and becoming friends. Within a day of knowing eachother, Phillip effectively knew more about Snowmane than most of the others... save, like, Star-Pelt (who was kinda-not-really the Vlad in this comparison...)
Anyway, at one point Phillip became a lich, and stored his soul in an empty beer bottle. Snowmane proceeded to drink his soul. There was a lot of freaking out by the others, including a pissing contest on how to separate them.
Meanwhile, as part of having his soul inside her, Phillip became extremely protective of her. They developed a mental link which allows them to speak to each other through their minds, and can sense eachother from the other side of Azeroth if need be... hell, Phillip sensed Snowmane from another plane of existence...
But basically, Phillip ended up falling in love with Snowmane. Completely head-over-heels to be exact, and continually does stupid insane stuff because of it. Up to and including sling-shotting himself into the realm of shadows, challenging dreadlords, and ripping his way into Kali's sanctum after allowing the shadows to take him.
However, until recently, Snowmane either didn't notice his affection, or just tried to ignore it and chalk it up to other factors. While she was certainly his friend, she just didn't feel that way about him at the time (And may still not, but she is a little busy being enslaved...)
It does make an interesting comparison. The bond was completely different though...

Snowmane wasn't aged; she was part of the original pack of Bloodhowls.

Well, I remember something about her seeming older than she is because of all the fel magics her mother was exposed to or something...
And Hyper, I'll sum up what I am seeing here:
Phillip: Gets insanely overprotective and more than willing to throw his own life on the line to protect Snowmane, similiar to Al with Hyper.
Snowmane: Younger girl (Considerably younger than Phillip.) with a talent for magic that generally doesn't notice how crazy the other is, similiar to Hyper.
Once again, it was just something I noticed that was interesting.

Edit: It was her sister that was magically aged; Snowmane survived Dag's slaughter of the pack somehow.
