It's different for me because in game I've only ever meet Victorians, Perthians or brisvegas boys, not once have I met a NSWer but I don't play Oceanic servers any more so it's not common for me meeting any Aussies these days. Nice to see the representation either way.
Bring layers if you're down this week our weather is fluctuating extremes.

I know a lot of NSW'ers, but you're right - there is reasonable representation elsewhere too. My old guild's leadership core was an extended family of guys from Perth.

I'm actually in Melbourne until the end of the week. Donny should be around here somewhere too, or coming down soon.
Unfortunately, weeklong Bartercard training courses take precedence over the F1GP, so I'm in Surfers Paradise all week. Although it's not really unfortunate; it's such an awesome experience getting to meet so many successful people (and getting to see the faces of the people I'll be putting to shame in a few months time!). But yeah, the F1GP will have to wait for another year. I'll have to organise to come down for Bathurst instead!
Also, East Gosford has the 2 best bakeries in the country, within 100m of each other. Fredo's Famous Pies just outside Kempsey is great for the novelty factor - crocodile pies, anyone? - but the two in East Gosford are on another level of quality altogether.

There are still a number of borderline calls this time around... and not just because it's the start of the season! Still though, Knights without Gidley? Even on home ground, I don't think it's gonna happen.
Round 1: 6/8
Round 2: 2/8 (/cry)
Round 3: Dragons, Broncos, Storm, Cowboys, Bulldogs, Roosters, Panthers, Sea Eagles.

Apparently one Mr Slater scored a pretty good try.

Ended up watching a highlights reel on nrl.com of the Storm and Bulldogs wins. Was a great try. Cooper Cronk is a genius too.
No major upsets this week apart from the Dogs, which suits my conservative tipping style.
Shame Webber couldn't bring home the bacon in Melbourne, but still his best ever result there.

Well yeah, in 2010 he showed he was the far superior driver, and that was working against mild Vettel favouritism. Since Vettel won the championship, the favouritism pendulum has swung ALL the way. Webber will need to go to McLaren if he ever wants to hold that trophy, I think.
Still, I think it's fantastic for F1 that there are so many top-notch drivers in there right now. Usually the teams have 1 great driver and 1 mediocre driver (Ferrari still do) but the in-house competition with the McLaren and Red Bull guys is amazing. Throw in Kimi Raikkonen, back from the WRC, plus a few promising youngsters like Paul di Resta and Nico Rosberg, and I think F1 is in for some great years.
As for Cronulla, WTH indeed.

Too true. Webber's chances are definitely dying. Also, I wasn't indicating that I think McLaren should dump one of their drivers, just that if one of them
was
to leave, I think anyone would be better suited there than driving number 2 behind Vettel. It seems that McLaren treat their drivers far more equally - although that could be because both of them are world champions and still quite young.

Tell that to Alonso? Webber's not British, so I'm not sure that he'd be treated any better under McLaren than Red Bull.
That being said, I agree, both Button and Hamilton are pretty happy where they are.

Probably true...
