I was passing through Zul’Drak to search for valuable artifacts, when I came upon a troll town. I was concerned that the trolls might be planning an offensive against the Horde, for whom I was currently working for, and I cloaked myself and entered the town to gain intelligence.
There was one building I was particularly interested in, a large building formed of crude stone blocks, from which great power emanated. I entered and found a circle. It was oddly shaped, with several squiggly symbols etched inside, along with a series of dots and lines drawn around the outside.
I was intrigued by this circle, and copied it down. The troll priests in charge of it then attacked me however, and so I was forced to destroy them. They attacked with a burst of dark energy, which I countered, and retaliated with a blast of flame. One priest was scorched to his bones, but the other blocked it. He returned fire with a bolt of what I believe is what they call “mojo.” It was liquid, but burst from his hands, and it burned like acid.
I melted it off, and hit him with a blast of shadowflame, killing him. I then scooped up some of the mojo in a bottle. Apparently this did the trick, as it didn’t attempt to burn through the bottle. Mojo appears to be a combination of various troll body fluids mixed with the essence of their Loa gods, making it excellent for both weapons and magical implements.
As I checked the circle, I discovered that it was a bastardized version of a demon summoning portal, made to summon their Loa gods. I was concerned about the circle, and destroyed it. A burst of dark energy was released, and I wondered if it was truly made to summon the Loa…
I was traveling through the dwarven lands, specifically near Loch Modan, when I felt a surge of dark energy. I traveled to the source, and discovered a battle between dwarves and orcs.
Apparently the Dragonmaw had been making an offensive, but I wasn’t concerned about that. I went past them, into the tunnel to the Wetlands, when I felt the dark magic again. I felt around the wall, and found one section that was weaker than the others. I destroyed it, and passed through. I was immediately set upon by a Crypt Lord, and I teleported out, not wanting to fight one such as he.
The dark magic wasn’t of Scourge origin however. It makes me wonder what its source was…
I discovered what that burst of dark magic was today. I ran into a warrior I met during the war against the Qiraji, one Fünden Orebead. He was a warrior. When I met him today, he was a Death Knight. He recounted his story, of being attacked by Nerubians and captured. However, he related another story to me, one that was told to him by one Khaz Stumpfoot.
He told a strange tale of cities contained under the ground, and portals concealed in darkness to the Tirisfal Glades. I’m concerned that this may be signs that N’<
the rest of the word is scribbled out> is rising again.
I went to the land of Tirisfal in Lordaeron, and entered the city of Naloth. I had never been there before, and it felt… wrong. Disconnected from reality. The town was deserted, and the entire time a rook watched me from the trees. It felt like something was lurking behind me the entire time I was there, but I had to be sure that N’<
name has been scribbled out, half heartedly> wasn’t stirring in any great energy.
As I passed through the town, I discovered one house was unlike the rest of them, being undamaged and wet, if my eyes weren’t deceiving me. I entered the house, and discovered the house was permeated with the water of Ny’alotha. Concerned, I pressed deeper into the house. A deadly lethargy set over me, and I saw shadows in the corner of my eyes.
I conjured magical fire to aid me in my search, and I came upon what I feared. Inside the house, the Eighth Seal was shattered. This distressed me, and I exited the house, and fled the city. I now know what has happened to Khaz Orebeard, and what he will eventually become…
((Yes I'm obsessed with N'zoth and the Old Gods. So shoot me.))
