Yes; everyone I know that purchased Mario Bros 3 beat it, up to and including their parents who played the game as well.
Your claim is that my experience is not representative but that yours is.
..../sigh Aestu, I was merely doing the same thing you do, I do love how you trimmed my response to take out the part where I said you do the exact same thing...in fact:So, from my own view(which is the same view you are using) yes, people beat the games they purchase. If you are going to trim and attempt to look smart, please remember, the previous comments are above you eh?
But the over all purpose of that is simple: You are not right, I am not right, neither of us are right, so get over it.

Since Aestu won't argue against me, I guess I can say whatever I want unopposed.
There are two differences between WoW and any old-school console game:
1) The ability to patch the game
2) The fact that you are playing with and competing against players in a persistent world.
Those are the differences that the OP is seeing and is trying to project onto the different generation of gamers.
People complained about old-school games too. I remember a couple places in Ninja where a dude would keep respawning because they ended up putting him directly on the edge of the screen, and everyone complained about that. The difference was that there was nothing that could be done about it, so that's as far as it went. With modern games, the ability to patch gives more weight to the complaints, and the fact that you're actually competing with and against other people makes it much more frustrating.

extremely clear that you are an unintelligent individual who has difficulty reconciling his desire to be seen as brilliant with his lack of mental equipment, so instead you try to drag everything and everyone down to your level rather than strive to create and understand ideas that are beyond you.
Denial?

Tried to have a productive discussion; failed; I'm done here.Lies, as you just created a massive flame bait post intended to piss off HSR.

Liar, Liar, pants on fire.
Seriously, you ignored a good dozen valid points posted in response to your OP right off the bat. What a great way to set the mood. You continued by refusing to clarify anything but the most mundane points. And now as this thread thrashes about in its last throes of agony, you berate everyone else for ruining your thread -- people who are still bringing up valid points.
I do find it interesting that you put more effort into flaming me than you've put into clarifying anything in this thread.
Tried to have a productive discussion; failed; I'm done here.Lies...
Lol, gotta love how we picked the exact same line out of that tirade :P

Bluntly, HSR, it's extremely clear that you are an unintelligent individual who has difficulty reconciling his desire to be seen as brilliant with his lack of mental equipment, so instead you try to drag everything and everyone down to your level rather than strive to create and understand ideas that are beyond you.
When someone thinks or says something interesting or novel you try to tear it down with dissembling or nonsense. You never have any clever ideas or insights of your own.
Yet you make determined efforts to appear intelligent by assuming the stereotyped gestures associated with an an academic debate, or by quoting trite passages from various literary works out of any sort of context, or through the kind of stereotyped, egotistical remarks quoted here.
Being less than brilliant is not necessarily a problem. It becomes a personal problem when you resort to spite rather than accept a condition of mediocrity or strive to be better than you are. In the end no one is hurt more than yourself - you deny your own potential, it's no different than cutting off the nose to spite your face.
..........................................
Hmmm...
Asylu uses Mirror.
Mirror reflects pseudo-psychological wall o' text back at Aestu.
Reflected self analysis is super effective!

Sigh.
This debate had so much potential, but has degraded into the "usual namecalling" (again?), which at this point seems impossible to recover from. And no, it's
far
from only being caused by a single individual.
I'm quite sad about this, because I
honestly
enjoyed some of the flash-backs I got here, and agreed with much more written than I wrote. If only people could focus on the topic at hand, more than who started it, and who participated, I'm sure these discussions would be many times better.
We'll take a more in-depth look at it, and take the necessary actions after looking it over properly.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Gnub##DELIM##
