Was reading this thread on the official forums and was curious to see any feedback from the assrogues here in relation to lost dps post patch

Well...IF the ppm for
deadly
was somehow lowered, then any procs over 5 occurring at a slower rate should directly relate to fewer procs of
ip
...which would be an immediate decline in overall dps, as they seem to be indicating, but one that all classes should of seen. Since it is only assasination that seems to be taking the hit on this, maybe something is wrong with
improved poisons
.
We could probably figure this out by swapping to a garbage combat spec, or sub, keeping daggers equipped and poisoned and making sure there are no attack speed changes, then auto attacking for a while, the longer the better, but lets call it half an hour. Then spend half an hour auto attacking in an ass spec. The ass spec should have 20% more dp procs...correct?

I did 2 10 Minute tests: Assassination and Untalented.
1.8/1.4
Hurricane OH
Untalented is lacking 4% Hit compared to Assass'n
Pretty Unscientific, but the results are so vividly different, I though it was worth putting up anyway.
Untalented:
Ability Name Count %
-Melee 851 57.8
-Deadly(DoT) 176 28.8
-Instant Poison 130 13.4
Assassination:
Ability Name Count %
-Deadly(DoT) 202 38.9
-Melee 854 32.8
-Instant Poison 280 28.4

I haven't noticed anything different. There have
always
been times where you could hit the mob for a while and fail to apply or refresh DP. That's just the nature of % based procs.
