I'd like some updated information or confirmation on how resilience works so I can make a accurate formula for it. Also I'm decideing between level 69 or 70. Obviously 70 has its PvP sets, but I am unclear as to how its going to affect the BGs that pop. I'm hoping 70 is best, as I rather not look like a clown with downs via gear style. :D
The wiki is outdated, so I do not know what is accurate and what is not. Please correct me where I'm mislead below.
Right now I need info/confirmation on the following:
- The more you get the better it is.
- Say someone with 25% 2xCritmod chance hits me for 5000 and crits for 10000. What would the correct formula be when resil is applied to get the final inc damage?
- When is resil applied? After AC? Before? How about class skills/talents?
AvgIncHit = (avghit*(1+Critchance*(Critmod-1)))
For 25%crit 2xmod 5k hit that comes out to 6250 hit average. How should I incorporate resil into this? What else is needed?
Would it simply be (10%resil):
AvgIncHit*(1-resil%)=dmgtaken (5625)
----personal rambling below1 resil(40) gem is about 0.42 reduction. With 120k life thats about 120k*(1-resil%) 504 health over your health pool. Lets say you get around 11 health per 1 stam. Thats 660heath per stam gem. So in order for the resil gem to be better survivability than the stam gem, you need to be healed for (660/504*Healthpool)-Healthpool or ~37k.
For 100k health:
420 from resil health vs 660 gem needing to be healed for ~57k for resil to equal stam gemming.
Clearly for 85, if you get healed even a little, you want to stack resil.
Now Im making this page for lower level chars I want to mess around with in lower battlegrounds. At level 69 1 resil gets you 0.07% reduction. 20resil gems are usable at 1.4% reduction. At 10k health thats 140 more health. 30 stam gems rendering roughly 324 health. Id need 13k in heals?
