Imo Alch is one of the easiest to lvl profs in the game..it is no where near as annoying as blacksmithing.

im thinkin instead of playing the ah and getting more gold,the only thing i really spend gold on are raid supplies which are flasks.i figured if i just picked up alchemy i could just make my own and not have to buy em
im just wondering is it pretty easy to lvl up alchemy or is it like blacksmithing which sucked really bad.i dont even think i got over 300 when i had blacksmithing cuz it was so terrible to lvl
Depends on your server. The only problem I had with leveling it in the past was the 50 points in the outlands levels. But that was due to me not having the herbs that I wanted from the AH.
Alot of your leveling is take a stack of this herb and this herb and make item X for 10 skill-ups. Also for the quest it maybe easier to do the Transmute Quest then pay the 200g to swap if you want to go Elixer Spec.

I had no trouble leveling my alchemists to 500 without leaving town. What means you start out at level 80 with your +80 flask and 2 epic level 359 trinkets, even before departing for cataclysm content.
