i havnt read all this, but 3 things after watching that video
1) i wish that people wouldnt make videos like that, it gives real christians such as myself a bad name, i really hope people undertsand that fanatics like that are for the most part either trolls or just have a very misguided veiw on religion
2) wow IS COMPLETLEY AND TOTALY EVIL but not in the way this video claims, someday mark my words we will all be plugged into giant wow pods like the matrix, and loving every minut of it, while blizzard sucks out our brain juices to power their factorys
3) yes wow some parts of wow have an occulty feel to it, but hey paladin storys have a pretty holy feel to it, dose that make it a chritan game all the sudden? its just fantasy
I just got reminded of Pendragon: The Reality Bug.
That was a good book.
Heck, good series.
maby ill check it out, i been lookin for a new book to get into
I highly recommend the.
I recommend anything by Terry Goodkind.

I watched the first one, god her voice is like grating teeth.
Then I went to her website. Not sure if I just googled her name or if it is on youtube info.
Made it to "List of False Churches" and then read the statement somewhere on the last page and got as far as ....."women are not supposed to talk in church."
Found it great that she also chose to approve all comments on those vids. Mine never went through.

Found it great that she also chose to approve all comments on those vids. Mine never went through.
On the second video, she's made a comment stating that she stopped approving negative comments about 9 months ago.
Realistically, her views aren't that extreme in isolation, it's just a combination of views that result in something that appears very extreme.
Consider:
1) Magic is supernatural.
Man-conducted supernatural activity is not the power of God, and therefore, must be the power of the devil (being the only other wielder of supernatural powers).
This isn't that far from a conventional Christian view. Supernatural acts are typically the work of God, unless they go against God's teachings, in which case, it should be proven that such acts are natural scientifically, i.e. not acts of God. The only difference is the additional step that 'all supernatural acts conducted by people must be satanic' that she takes.
2) If you do something in game, you're more likely to practice it in real life.
This is a line that anti-video game people have been spouting for years. Call of Duty, Doom and Halo are all going to breed a generation of serial killers. Grand Theft Auto and Need for Speed are going to result in more carjackings and bad driving. Civilisation will result in more gloabalisation and child labour abuse... oh wait.
The idea that 'people do it in game, so they'll want to do it in real life too' is an old one. It's also fairly common, it's not that extreme.
3) If a game encourages you to do bad things, it's a bad game.
Again, see (2). Not an extreme view, this is a commonly held view.
(1) + (2) + (3) = If supernatural powers are bad, and using them in game encourages you to use it in real life, and the game encourages you to use them, it must be a bad game.
It's actually fairly logical, as long as you accept the flawed premises in the first instance.

This video was just.. Wow, I can't tell if she's serious or not but damn. Thats.. Psycho. The way she talks in comments reminds of 3x3ish though, just saying.

I can't say as this surprises me. We had zealots freaking out about D&D without doing their homework first, after all.

Is this like the WoW version of the old "Dark Dungeons" that plagued D&D back in the days of yore?
(GM) MissFrost: Blackleaf, your DPS isn't good enough for this boss. We're booting you from the raid this week. Go read EJ and practice a bit more and we'll let you in again next week.
Blackleaf (Rogue): No! Not the raid! Not Blackleaf!
(Blackleaf's player is later found to have hanged herself out of grief for not being able to raid BWD this week and losing a chance for T11 tokens. The suicide in-game mail reads something like "Wiping the raid was my fault. I'm sorry, everyone.")
A female Undead Rogue named Blackleaf would be awesome to see. Why is she dead? Because she failed to find the trap xD
rofl. Chick tracts are abso-freakin'-lutely nutball funny. Or they would be - if they weren't completely
serious
. There really are fundamentalists out there who, given the chance, would try and perform an exorcism on you for playing WoW.
Here's the scary thing about this video: Ever hear of Poe's Law? It basically states that it will be impossible to tell the difference between a fundamentalist posting on the Internet, and someone posing as a fundamentalist in order to troll. It's quite possible that the girl in the video is being 100% serious - not joking. And if not, it's almost guaranteed that there's a fundamentalist Christian out there watching the video, nodding his head in complete agreement.

What's annoying for me is that by far the vast majority of Christians (and, I guess/hope, the vast majority of most members of other religions) are sensible, caring, understanding people. All things like this do is feed public opinion that religion is for nutters.
Not all Christians are like her, honest.

Not all Christians are like her, honest.Which is exactly why I went out of my way to use the word "zealot" instead of specifying a faith.

There are fundamentalists of every religion. Some of them have websites that supposedly portray the death screams of Matthew Shepherd, burning in Hell due to homosexuality; others crash planes into buildings.
Generalizations are frequently made, and almost as frequently invalid. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, the overly vocal minority tend to be the ones people remember.

The quantity of 'brains' people have is in direct proportion to how much people think that others wish to harness them. You guess how.
Haha, Captcha was: Interest scum.
