How Blizz Messed Up Worgen

also lore wise, why is it just humans, dwarfs and gnomes and orcs, could technicly become a worgen too if their bitten, its just a human thing lore wise. plus how kool would an undead worgen look? or a gnome worgen, that would be hilarious. idk i think it would have been pretty sick to see as a new class
You also never see High elven Forsaken or Dwarven Forsaken, it is a game mechanic. Still, lore-wise, the playable Worgen are all humans from Gilneas.
Sylvanas?
I mean as playable characters.

You mean worgen NPCs never show their weapons? Ill have to look for a worgen npc in game now and see for myself, never even realized it but I know I have stumbled across a few worgen npcs.
well look at admiral ripsnarl (i think is his name) in deadmines, and the worgen boss in CoC. most of the worgen npcs u see either use their claws, or cast spells, i just thought it would be kool, i mean if you are gonna play a big wolf man you might as well BE a wolf man, using weapons kinda ruins it for me, thats just me though, i still think worgen are a pretty kool race. love the /silly and /flirts

fistcleave mobs into the air without a weapon
before being turned into a worgen, he still decides to
sport two awesome looking weapons
....
Also, I do believe
Genn Greymane also uses his Sword in Worgen form

The entire human kingdom of Greymane was kept behind the Greymane Wall, until only very recently.
That is the reason why worgen have a human form. Or human have a worgen form.

True the worgen npcs/mobs before Cataclysm didn't use weapons. They were also mindless and feral, so it makes sense that feral worgen would just slash with their claws while those that have retained their sanity would use weapons.
There's also the practical aspect. If you were fighting someone in solid plate armor with a shield would you want to be scratching at it with your claws or would you rather have a large axe? It might not be hardcore to use a weapon when you have claws, but it's much less hardcore to run away because you broke a nail for refusing to use weapons. Just sayin'

OK i thought about it overnight and i cleaned up my idea a little and adressed the things that people had problems with
How did worgen reach other races besides the humans of gilneas?
I have two ideas to adress this
1) Members of the horde and alliance were infected after the greymane wall broke during the cataclysm fighting for controll of the northern eastern kingdomes
2) Several "adventurers" brought the curse back after the campaign in northrend after encountering it in grizzley hills
Also i want to note that during the encounter with Arugal at the end of the Hour of the Worg quest, a player will be transformed into a worgen, no matter what race they are. this may not be lore but it at least backs up the fact that just because other races besides humans have not become worgen, dosnt mean they cant.
The second thing people had a problem with is why if somone was a mage, a druid, a paladin during their previous life, would they forget all the skills they learned after they become a worgen.
Now this part IS backed up by lore, when somone becomes a worgen they basicly become an animal, thats why you never saw worgen druids or mages or warlocks before cataclysm was relesed. Also there is a lot in teh worgen starting area that backs this up, theres an abandoned journal you can read that gos into it a lot, and also if you watch the cutscene it shows you run off into the wild and live like an animal till they capture and give you the cure.
I would treat it the same was as DKs, they may have been paladins or warriors or druids or whatever in life, but in death they were changed and learned a new way of combat. Same could go for worgen, after living like an animal even after getting the cure administered they could still fight like a worgen, DKs didnt go back to being paladins and warriors after they were free from the lich king
Finaly how would they treat players from different factions ect becoming new worgen. This im not sure how they could do exaclty, it could probobly be treated the same way as DKs, starting at level 55, the starting area could be on a facility on Fenris Isle run by the Earthen Ring or something to administer the cure to people and could expand out to the rest of silverpine forrest
So thats me cleaning up my idea to make it work a little better. Once again im not part of Blizzards planning department so its not perfect

Again though; the Worgen are a Race: The originals were druids who tapped the power of the Wolf Ancient, releasing a form that was far more vicious and violent then the Feline, and was good for destroying the Legion. The Curse as it became known as, mutated them, turning them into a Wolf person, but they are still Worgens. The biggest reason you wouldn't see them on both sides is because all of the Worgens were summoned by either the Scythe of Elune or Argual, and both of those were done by 'Alliance' people.
But one more time, just for the fun of it: Worgen are a race, not a class.

Not going back to read through everything so sorry if someone mentioned this, but doesn't it explicitly state somewhere (Stonetalon I think) that other races can't become worgen? Like there's a gnome who wants to but it won't work or something?

and yes i relise nagga used to be night elfs, but thats completley different so dont even go there
EDIT: actualy im fairly certin there were night elf worgen before as well so its not just the humans of gilnaeus as everybody has been saying

Worgen who retain their sanity are whatever class they were before they were cursed into worgen. Worgen who are feral are all the same, so for it to work as a class you would have to be the feral beasts. Who are mindless.

again thoug as far as i know only night elfs have become nagga. night els and humans have become worgen, it stands to reason that other classes can as well
