Holy Tier 11: Itemization Fail intentional?

Holy Paladin Tier 11
I distinctly remember a blue post before Cata's launch (I don't remember roughly when it was said) that stated Blizzard intentionally did not itemize Holy's Tier 10 because they didn't want them to become too powerful. In response, the paladins chased down all the resto shaman haste/mp5 mail.
Our tier 11 has not one spec of haste, not even on a socket bonus! Am I alone in thinking that this is the case once again?
Our two piece bonus is nothing to get excited about, but the spirit bonus attached to our most expensive (and maybe even the most powerful) spell is exceptionally good.
I can't post links from Battle.net from here, but I noticed the distinct differences between two of Paragon's holy paladins, DiamondTear and Llonie(SP, can't check the spelling from here). DiamondTear has not one piece of Tier 11 and strictly stacks haste and spirit. Llonie(SP) is in full tier 11 and has less haste overall, but his crit and mastery is higher.
It would appear to me that DiamondTear is more of a tank/throughput healer and Llonie(SP) is designated more as being a raid healer since he bit the bullet to take that tier bonus.
Any thoughts on any of this?

Good thing every fight requires me to use HR on CD
Dang.
Well, at least,
it's not disadvantageous to stand within six yards of people on most fights this tier
dammit!
The T11 is bad and you should feel bad if you have it.

I'm watching you continuously edit your post Pezz and it's hysterical.

Yeah I kind of kept looking at it and every time it was like 'I can do more beauty here.' So I did.

Seems more utilitarian, function over form. I think you failed there :*(
Try again Pezz!
Back on topic, I'm sitting on 2500 valor points and I'm agonzing over what to purchase with it. I want that sweet tier 11 bonus, but I'll lose so much haste over it. I also think the tier 11 look is baller, makes me a sad panda.
Full listing of epic holy paladin plate, excluding PvP gear.
Eternal Pathfinders
don't have any spirit, but they do have haste. I could reforge the crit into spirit and replace a 346 crit/haste ring with a ring I'm thinking about buying; the
Twined Band of Flowers
. Reforge the mastery into haste to offset the loss of spirit from my 346 boots.
I also don't want to spend the Valor points on the boots in the off chance they actually drop
Life Force Chargers
tomorrow, we're focused on BWD progression.

From what I've seen Diamondtear theorycrafts the most out of the 2, plus she's probably the best healer in the world, so she isn't a bad example to take after. She post constantly on EJ and, unlike some of the post their, hers are completely comprehensible.
I've made a mental note to go back there and read what she has to say after I learned she was a contributor, but I've never gotten around to it.
Sidenote: Is it really a she? I talk to my healers often on how to best do our jobs for all raid encounters since the only other two healers who show up consistently are shamans. I mention DiamondTear's itemization often and always refer to that player as "he", since a lot of male players roll female characters.
As for myself, I've only been running 10 mans, so I'm holding off on getting the tier set.
I'm thinking the same thing. *sigh*
The problem with it in 10 mans is, say for Magmaw, I stand in melee.
I stand with the ranged to milk more of out Holy Radiance. I figure as long as I'm not going OOM, I can relieve some of the strain from the other healers and not worry about melee'ing for mana. Of course, I still judge on CD.

My guild spends most of Atramedes spread out. EVERY guild spends most of Maloriak and Chimaeron spread out. Half of the Val fight requires being spread out.
Look at it this way. Most Cata fights are extremely contrived ways to make a stack -> spread -> stack mechanic. That means that we can make any use at all of our bonus, at best,
maybe
half the time. And remember what we're giving up for half a bonus: half decent itemization.
On the other hand, Shaman Tier 11 is tied to
Riptide
for Jeebus's sake. Druid Tier 11 is based on having LB fully stacked on a tank, and Priest Tier 11 is based on using Penance
or even being in a Chakra.
All of the bonuses, points wise, are the same. But the paladin bonus is the only one based on a spell you'll
maybe
use on
maybe
half of the fights you do, for
maybe
half of those fights.

I have both sets, as it isnt a problem to get haste plate gear (no competition) nor tier pieces (not many other things to buy).
While most of the fights favor spreading out, there are often moments where grouping up and healing quickly matters, including Chimaeron and Maloriak. And even if 24 players stay quite far away and your HR ticks are low, you still get the most heals for the mana spent (assuming some raidwide damage is going on - and even more if 4T11 is equipped).
