Just curious, what would be a good pvp disc spec for the upcoming patch. me and my dk buddy are planning on doing some arena's come the patch and I'm not too sure what I should spec as.
This is what I came up with:

Thanks for the tips, I was unsure if I should mix offensive and heals or go straight heals. can't wait to try it out ^_^

Train of Focus is definitely a good talent in 2s, mandatory in rBG, and entirely useless in 5s. Not sure what to make of it in 3s so far.
We have the second worst mana usage (next to Holy Priests, lol), right below Shamans. PW: Shield is more expensive to cast than ever. Get Mental Agility.
Don't Smite. If you want to DPS, use Mind Spike. Mind Spike does more damage (and maybe Mind Blast once they buff it), only leaves you vulnerable to locking out your shadow school, is fast, actually deals more damage (if you have spell pen, which you should), and is dirt cheap.
Try to squeeze in at least 1 in Inspiration (2 is gold). However, with the shield buff, it's tough to say whether the currently-useless Reflective Shield would be worth giving up.
Replace SW:D with Barrier imo. Unless you run a really good burst spec that really relies on your double Shadow Word: Death under 25% (note it doesn't reset again for a period of time)... That 10% healing, on the other hand, is more reliable and usable.
The major glyphs are the real dilemma here:
- Desperation is mandatory.
- Here's where it gets tricky. You have numerous candidates: Inner Fire, Mass Dispel, and Prayer of Mending. I don't know if ProM is really buffed that much. Inner Fire only helps against melee, but melee has always been the bane of a Priest. Mass Dispel really makes your life that much easier against Paladin and Mage to the point where, even if it only helps against two classes, it just seems so mandatory. Oh, and it AoE dispels.

In PVP the last thing you want to be doing is standing still.
Actually, the last thing you want to do in PVP is being dead. When you've got Hamstrings, low health, and melee stuck on you, you're not going to be escaping them. Power Word: Barrier, unlike Pain Suppression, is off the global cooldown, has a shorter cooldown, and increases healing done to yourself. It's also big enough to cover an entire pillar if you're dancing around that.
