Eh, maybe I'm too nice, but I always try to tough it out. If I see something particularly wrong that can be avoided I'll try to coach the people who are messing up and hope they get it right the next time (because no matter how much you read about mechanics sometimes you just need to experience it). But sometimes you get those groups where no amount of explanation and attempting can make up for someone's poor gear or play-style and that's when I just kindly leave the group and spend my deserter time doing dailies or crafting/farming.
Toughing out a heroic for
2-3 hours
isn't anywhere near worth the loss of gold and time, unless you desperately want to reach a boss for a piece of loot that your group hasn't killed yet. In which case it's still probably better to ditch the group and eat a 30-minute delay instead of a 3 hour wipe fest.

Considering that you can do other things besides run heroics, such as dailies, fishing (a lot of guilds still need 10k fish from pools), professions, and farming, a 30-min wait isn't that bad for me.
For me, it depends. What attitude do they have out of:
Oh yeah, 12k DPS! (says the guy who made me do 15k HPS by not focus-firing, watching omen, moving out of fire, or doing anything awarenessy).
I'm pretty new, so I'm just learning, bear with me. What does this boss do?
Btw, half of us are stoned out of our minds and half of us are just BSing in vent.
Dude you don't play a lock don't tell me what kind of pet to use! (says the destro lock using a voidwalker instead of an imp)
The first one I usually tolerate, because A) if I can heal them through it, it makes it go faster than a standard PuG, and if I can't then they learn pretty quick (or have a high repair bill, which satisfies me). The second one I really tolerate, because we're all new, but to a point - you really should be in normal dungeons if you're just learning. The third I will just leave, no point if you're in a state of mind where you don't care (and obviously you don't find your time valuable if you want to do that anyway), and the last I just leave. I'm fine if you're learning, but if you're not learning, then there's a problem.

I've met another type of group: 3 cats for DPS. The cats were not amused to so speak. At least the 30 minute lockout saved them for another 45 minute queue.
