Let me know what you think and if I should try to finish the story. Most likely it wouldn't be more than 4 parts at most. So this is Twilight of Dreams, the Prologue.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The morning was beautiful. Light mist between the great trees of Ashenvale and the birds giving their morning concerto. Maragos had never really thought or noticed how amazing the world could actually be.
But there was one thing breaking the peace. A battle was raging on a small clearing. Maragos had managed to crawl so that now he could lean his back against a tree and see most of the battlefield. There was Leonor fending off two Sentinel huntresses. Dako he could not see but judging from the roars, he was still standing. The crackling of fire and almost manic laughter of the goblin told Maragos that Gilos was still holding his ground against their target.
The orc lowered his eyes and observed his wounds. Several cuts in his chest and arms, an arrow in his left thigh. And then the deep cut that had ripped his stomach open. He was done and he knew it.
Something fell from the tree next to him. Maragos reached for Gut Ripper but gave a feint smile when he saw the sword laying couple meters away from him. Now looking the fallen thing more closely, he noticed that it was Whisper. There were several arrows sticking from her body and one was right between the now empty eye-sockets. Maragos gave deep sigh.
“
There were more than we assumed
”, the orc thought. “
The intelligence failed
”.
The old orc smiled as the first rays of the sun penetrated through the green roof of the vale.
“
What a morning. A twilight of green. A twilight of dreams
".
Maragos looked at the battle once more. The elves were slowly getting the upper hand. Maragos’ wounds were starting to take their toll.
“
This was not an ordinary failure - they were expecting us
”, Maragos thought as his mind was getting more and more blurry. One last thought came clear to him just moments before his spirit departed from his body.
“
Somebody sold us out…
”

This echoes to the film I've just watched, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.
I liked it, and I definitely think this should spawn more parts.

Quick, somebody write a new story with a name hinting to that thing and we may be able to crash wowhead.
But thanks for the feedback guys, I'll continue the series when I have the time (hopefully in the not too distant future)
