I am new to arena, and I run a Disc/mage 2's team, and we always seem to lose to Holy pally teams. Particularly Hpally/Feral and Hpally/DK. Anyone have any suggestions with how to deal with Holy paladins? I have tried mana burning them and I end up with less mana than the pally anyway. I generally start off the match by getting a fear off on them to free up trinkets if possible, and if we are able to CC the pally, we're just unable to kill the partner during the CC chain. On the other side, when my partner and I try to CC their partner and go for the Hpally, they just don't seem to die.
Again, this is not a QQ post, crying won't make my team better. What I would like to know from anyone else is how you are able to pull off a win. Do you make the pally blow CD's then swap back later?
Spell steal wings and divine favor if the H pally uses them (These are 2 massive, must have buffs for your mage partner if the pally uses them). If pally bubbles, mass dispell it. Use spell steal and dispell a lot. Mages rotation (frost) is usually poly on H pally, spell steal off everything, ice lance - nuke, followed by a silence once ice lance ends - nuke more. If he isn't dead, try to poly and repeat.
Against a feral comp this won't work since you cannot peel the feral away. He is immune to poly and he can break fears with berzerking (which will get removed probably in the future). This means you have no way of destroying the H pally since the feral will always be on both of you to peel. Only option i can think of is mind control, but will be trinketed for sure the first time and the 2nd will be almost unaffective. He will also shape shift out of any of your mage's slows i believe.
Dks are known to eat clothies. You can try the mage rotation while trying to control the dk at the same time. It is a difficult task, especially with the low survival disc has. Dk's antimagic shell, death grip, chains of ice, pet stun, and other fun moves allow him to keep you guys in check fairly well.
You will always want to try to keep the pally CCed or bursted down. Their clease on their teammates will make it impossible to kill them otherwise.
Welcome to the 2 big faceroll comps this season. There are more, like feral/rogue that are annoying as well. Not to mention H pally/afflic lock mana draining team.

Holy Paladin/Feral is pain in the ass, but you mainly have to force the druid to use barkskin in a deep freeze and maybe even from Fear when his not using Berserk.. Then you might be lucky enuff to kill him in next deep freeze.
