Since when is 58 considered low level?
Since BC came out. 58 is a low level compared to expansion capped people. He's talking abou tbasically if you aren't 83/84/85, you're considered low for this example.

This is a good post. It's not going to get you an epic flyer anytime soon, and someone at 85 with crafting proffs can probably beat what you make in a day in an hour.
However, it's a post that is factually accurate and useful for newbies, so it gets a thumbs up for me. Maybe put it in the WoW help forums?

So my 82 which is 3 levels from 85 is low level. I see how that works exactly.
58 can be considered low to medium level because it doesn't take a particularly long period of time to get there any more.
Semantics aren't going to help anyone here.

I'd say Fel Iron is just as easy/easier to mine now. If you're at the point where you have a flying mount, you can putz around Hellfire on your bird/wyvern and mine quite a bit of it with little to no problem at all.
Don't play the undercut game, for example selling Mageweave... one seller has listed 5 stack for 12g each, another seller has listed 5 stacks for 9g each & another seller has listed 5 stacks for 6g each. Don't come in & undercut even more, don't get me wrong your auctions will sell no doubt about it, but you could have got more. In this situation I will match middle price, so I list my Mageweave for 9g per stack, in time the lower priced Mageweave will sell & now your auctions are the cheapest even though they were not when you listed them
Undercutting is the way to make money on the AH. SEVERE undercutting is the way to shoot yourself in the foot, however.
If the prices go from 12 > 9 > 6, and you're posting, you sell for 5.99.99. Undercutting by anything larger than a gold (unless the item is selling for thousands) is pointless, as people will buy the cheapest item, even if its only 1c cheaper.
Sure, you can go lower... but you're only killing the profits you'd be making. Anyone who says "But mine are 3g cheaper, so they'll sell faster!" is only helping me make 2g off their hard work.
That being said, you really need to know how fast the market will move. I've had plenty of times where I've posted a stack of herbs for the same price I usually do, only to have them come back because everyone flooded the market on a Saturday. Sometimes, you just need to undercut if you want to get the items out of your bags (like the 14 stacks of Azshara's Veil my banker has that I sell 3 stacks at a time for just under whatever everyone else is selling at).
Another thing worth noting (from personal experience at least) is to not post a ton of one item unless you're certain they will all sell.
Sure, you may notice that no one else is selling Copper Ore on Tuesday, and you're sitting on 20 stacks. So you post them all for Xg, and go and gather more. When you get back, you notice that 30 other people posted stacks of Copper Ore, all undercutting you, and you're guaranteed to get those ores back when the auctions expire.
The same can happen when the market is full... you'll post a bunch to clean out the inventory, only to get 75% of them back because people slowly undercut you and each other to oblivion.
I find it best to post at most 3 stacks of an item and simply keeping an eye on my banker every now and again to see if the items sold, and then selling a few more stacks.

This is a gold retention tip, by saving you time and money.
Make a lvl 1-2 alt, run it to the nearest capital and park it near the AH/mailbox. Takes 15 minutes.
Use its backpack for extra bag slots. Mail anything you can possibly AH on your main back to it
and keep your main out in the leveling areas at an inn.
After 5 years I am still wondering why so many mains/leveling alts are found at the cities AH-
what a waste.
