Tanking at earlier levels is a lot easier with the changes they've made to the game. I recommend charging into mobs rather then trying to pull them. When you do need to pull, use heroic throw, or throw, and then charge when they're in a safe position. The reason I say this is because you want to be the first one hitting the target. Remember that Heroic Strike and Cleave are off the GCD, but they do share a CD. When you charge into a mob hit them with a Cleave right away, throw a Rend and Thunder Clap immediately. Also it's not a bad idea to throw Shockwave down immediately after this, that way you can build up more threat while the mobs are stunned, and you can reposition yourself if needed.
Most of these things you'll find out as you go about leveling. At level 15 you lack a lot of the abilities that make Warrior Tanks awesome.

At lower levels(15-40ish) tanking really isn't that critical for running instances. You will definitely need to respec into the protection tree if you want to tank later though.
A good rule of thumb is to not even bother helping the dps if they aren't letting you pull first. Let them drop a few times and take durability loss--they'll figure it out. Basically just keep an eye on your healer and you will be alright. By the time you reach the level 40-50+ dungeons, you will be more familiar with your character as well as have a nice suite of tanking abilities available.

I find it hard to round up the mobs, and keep track of which is running at who.
Download Tidy Plates and Tidy Plates: Threat Plates, it will make keeping track of threat a
lot
easier...I used to have the same issue until I got this.

When you spec prot also make sure you put some points in blood and thunder. Great for AOE tanking .
I'm not sold on Blood and Thunder, I'm not particularly well geared and I out DPS everyone on AoE pulls without it. You need to use a TC / Shockwave combo early, but after that, Cleave > TC. Shockwave I try not to spam unless I know I won't need the stun.
I wasn't either, but I switched from a DeepWounds spec to a BnT spec and I'm enjoying it. BnT is normally around 5-6% of my damage in a single target fight, and around 10-12% in an AoE fight.

I hated Blood and thunder, but it's not a bad talent it's uptime is easier to maintain then Deep wounds and does a bit more TPS then DW. The reason i quoted you is due to the fact i tried your Suggestion in another thread about using impending victory, Win talent is win.
I always thought it'd be quite useless, but for some healing intense figths it's a god send healing yourself for 20k~.
Now that i derailed the crap out of that, Yes blood and thunder is really good. I'm such a turn-coat.

Yeah, picked up impending victory and glyphed Victory Rush also. I actually love add fights too, if I happen to get the killing blow on one, boom 60k heal. It's also awesome for the random BG. Charge, rend, thunderclap; rends ticking everyone, get a killing blow or beat on someone under 25% and I heal up.
Deep Wounds ended up being a 3% damage for 3 talent points deal, which really wasn't as awesome as it used to be.

I forgot to mention, Does your VR seem to crit pretty much all the time when glyphed for 50% more heals?
It crits all the damn time with me, Thinking there might be abug with the glyph and it's still the old version.

Blood and Thunder at end game is debatable, some love it some don't. But
his little warrior is lvl 15
and a long way from this, its also a long way from shockwave.
At this level spec protection and blood and thunder it makes holding mobs very easy, as revboy1 said proctection is very good for leveling. I commonly pull 4-10 mobs my level and usually walk away with near full health at the end - with the help of victory rush spam after every mob goes down.
when tanking just use something like this - or if you have a few caster mobs, range pull than then hide around a corner to bring them close, if the DPS don;t wait for them to get to you, explain what a LOS pull is and then next time around let them tank the pack.
-charge
-rend
-Thunder Clap
-Cleave (glyph for 3 hits instead of 2)
