i found this:(startattack is for starting melee white dmg b4 special or if no energy for special)
#showtooltip Backstab
/startattack
/castrandom Backstab, Hemorrhage
and it worked for the 1st mobs i test it , but didnt work on other mobs.. strange!

You lack reading skills, don't you? Anyway, answring your question:
- /castrandom, as the word says, casts one of the spells you have queued after it
random
. So everytime you click the button, he chooses from Hemo and Backstab casually, then try to recast it till it lands.
strange!
- It's not possible to make a macro like you stated, since it would be playing the game for you and thus against the EULA. It's impossible to do with ingame methods, probably possible with external programs but, apart being difficult to make it, it would be equal to botting.
edit: clarified better the castrandom way of working.

As far as i know there's no way of checking wether you're behind your target or not.
The "/castramdom" does just as it says, picks an ability of the listed and tries to cast that one, except it will do the same one untill it's succesful. Meaning if you're infront and it picks Backstab it will try to do backstab untill it's possible.

Doesn't Bartender/Dominoes use a method to check if a skill is available for use? Like warriors' Victory Rush? Shouldn't it be possible to put a text alert on your screen when you're behind your target?

There's no API for being behind the target, I belive. The gurus went over this in a different subject some time ago.

NeedToKnow listens for SPELL_UPDATE_USABLE to create a bar for things like Victory Rush, so couldn't the same event be listened for in order to create a text warning?
(I know there's no way to activate one of two abilities based on player positioning, but what I describe could be used to give a visual indication of which ability to use...)

No, because it would require to track the positioning of the player in comparison of an object ingame.
Think about the AVR addon. Probably you still couldn't make a trigger of some sort that changes the ability from hemo to bs, but you could for example draw a texture at the mob's feet with a semicircle defining the area "behind" the mob (it should be a 180° arc).
The intefrace cannot have access to camera function (the reason AVR is broken now), but i believe that we cannot have access to the function defining what's "behind".
SPELL_UPDATE_USABLE is a simple trigger that checks some standard and static condition (mob dead + gives xp). BS and other spells use a dynamic definition of "behind", which is not an event, but a sort of script built inside the "mob" object.

I think everyone is stuck on geography.
Put Victory Rush on your action bar. Kill something that yields experience or honor. The Victory Rush lights up because of SPELL_UPDATE_USABLE. Similarly, when a rogue stands behind
Just realized that standing behind an enemy does not light up Backstab in the same way that Victory Rush, Kill Shot, Execute, and the like light up.
Hurr durr...

Yea, the resolution was to put a giant Backstab button in the middle of your screen and wait for it to fade in.
But it won't fade in. If it faded in, it would be because something is checking to see it's usable. Instead, the button stays faded in and you'll get an error message ("Must be behind your target").
